@mitu @RapidEdwin08 I had tried to use the A key I had selected above but it didn't work. I finally got it set up but I don't know what if anything I did differently.

I think I got both the keyboard and controller working and moved on to getting the Atari 5200 games to work. That's also a lot move involved than I would have thought but I'm working my way through the documentation.

@mitu thanks. I'll try this option and see if it helps. I'm using advmame because I'm trying to get a good looking vector setup. I've been cycling through all of the emulators to see which gives me the "best" results.

Update your Retropie-Setup script and then reinstall the PC98 core and restart EmulationStation - after this the .fdd extension should be recognized by EmulationStation automatically.

My advise is not to mix mame and fbneo roms just keep them in separate folders.
Otherwise you can't keep track of which is which.

About new roms and emulator releases.
I would not spend hours and hours finding which rom still works and which needs updating if not necessary.
I would just backup all and get all new ones and filter them again which is much faster.
For lr-fbneo this would be easy as I explained.

For lr-mame2003plus I don't know.
I could be wrong but for lr-mame2003plus I don't expect many updates.

I never used CLRmamepro so I can't help you with that.

Change the Audio Device setting in EmulationStation's Audio menu to Master or PCM and this should get rid of the warning.

I use ControlBlock on my Pi3 with absolutely no problems, it’s been rock solid.

@skykid You might try asking on the Batocera subreddit. (I'm not personally a Reddit fan, but that subreddit is the preferred method of support for the Batocera developers.)

This is a RetroPie forum. RetroPie and Batocera are completely different programs.

I'm not sure where the translation options are shown in the menu, if you want to enable from the configuration file I think only 2 options are really needed to start:

ai_service_enable = "true" input_ai_service = "<key>"

where <key> should be replaced by the keyboard key that will trigger the translation service. If you're using a gamepad, then input_ai_service becomes input_ai_service_btn and the value should be the code for the input button you want to use (i.e. input_ai_service_btn = "11") - you can find out the values for each button by looking at your gamepad configuration in /opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch-joypads/<gamepad_name>.cfg.

Which ROM/game ? Perhaps the message is coming from the emulator itself. Please add some more info about your setup and error, as requested in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first.

Use the runcommand launch menu and choose a resolution from there. The error looks like it's coming from the TV, indeed. You can take a look at the log file (/dev/shm/runcommand.log) and see which resolution dobox-staging tries to use.

100% sure. I bought it directly form Amazon (not marketplace) and the official firmware update tool worked also.

The controller works perfectly with es and Linux. Only libretro seems to ignore the none standard button (xbox).

@windg that did it! Back online. Now to figure out the culprit, which narrows it down to the dolphin bar, since that was the only thing different. Thanks so much!

Sure, but it seems something specific to Batocera and not a standalone app than one can take and integrate into an existing setup.
