When I do that, jumping with "up" does no longer work, but jumping with "B" doesn't either...

Can I some how check, which buttons RetroArch thinks that I am using?

Pi is very demanding on the power supply.
If the voltage is below 5.2V, turbo mode is disabled
PI will operate at a reduced frequency in throttling mode.
Some SNES games, even on an optimized driver under the SNES2002 AWS, will slow down.

Nevermind solved the issue.

ok what i did to get warcraft 2 tides of darkness to open was to uninstall stratagus, removed the warcraft2.data subfolders, reinstall wargus on my windows computer, and copy the required folders back to the pi. thanx to everyone that chimed in to help... hopefully someone will help me out with this new issue.

New issue since upgrading to a pi 3b+ and stretch kernel by editing some setup script files from my pi 3brunnin retropie 4.4.1 on jessie kernel, i had to run apt fix to fix some broken dependencies, everything works as it did EXCEPT all stratagus games. warcraft 1, 2, and starcraft all start and get to the map, all videos, sounds, and graphics are fine. i can select characters, but I cannot have them harvest, attack, build etc. i also cannot use the menu in warcraft 1. is this an incompatibility issue with stratagus and stretch kernel, is it my wireless mouse (I dont have another one to try atm and the mouse works so it seems very unlikely)? if this isnt the section for this question please guide me as to where to post this because i have searched all over and cannot find any forum for where to ask for help about stratagus.

@alphabetapie Can you show us a gamelist.xml fragment generated by Skraper and tell how you organized your ROMs ? You shouldn't need to create any artwork folders, Skraper will create them for your, and reference them in the gamelist.xml file.

thanks for your reply. I looked a the games.log file. no details of the crash.
I also tried the "set cvars" in the ingame control panel etc, still crashed.

not sure where to go from here.

@mitu I see, I think the best way is keeping it doing as I do right now. Its a little tedious but it works fine!

@joserto86 Do you have a keyboard attached to the PI ? Please see the questions from https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first and try to give some answers so we can better grasp your configuration.

@annomatik In the Amiberry emulator menus there is a "Status Line" you can enable. It's in the "Miscellaneous" tab. It adds Power, Disk and Hard Drive (I think?) LEDs to the lower right corner during emulation.

However, I don't know how to enable it for all games by default. Right now I have to turn it on for each game, and it doesn't save enabled. Still researching that.

@eckaji Ahh maybe I should have read that before my last post, now it makes sense however there was still the issue with the error however I think I may have solved the problem. Someone suggested instead of 0777 in the chmod commant just use 777 which seems to have solved the issue. I even manually added a Capcom section which worked. I then started fresh using 0777 and immediately got the error. Im about to start again with the 777 just to make sure it was not a fluke LOL

You can set the Pi to boot off an USD drive of you're trying to switch between OSes, but the Win10 you're talking about is the IoT Core edition, that's without any graphical interface and thoroughly slimmed down to the bare necessities.

It's not Windows as most people understand it. A fresh install of Windows 10 on the Raspberry Pi doesn't boot to the familiar Windows desktop. Instead, Windows 10 IoT Core will show users a single full-screen Universal Windows app. The system will only display the interface of a single app at a time, although additional software can be run in the background. Apps are loaded onto the Pi from a Windows 10 desktop machine.

@meleu Is there a way I can set a specific .cfg for each controller or system? So I avoid changing and renaming the retroarch.cfg every time I want to use another controller? For example on a system folder I have: Snes-usb.cfg, PS3-shawan.cfg, PS3-official.cfg. Can I select the cfg depending on the controller I will use?

Seems it's really easy to find Saturns for sale on Amazon for quite cheap!

Problem is the games. The are going to cost you a mortgage. Average of $100 per used game.

Jeez. For nearly that I could get a PILE of Saturns and disassemble them and figure them out from scratch.

Looks like it could be. I'm about to leave for work so I will test more tomorrow. But quick glances show it now has that whole path set up as pi:pi.
