@mathan416 Does this happen when the screensaver is started or later when the system is reaching "sleep" state (see Screensaver Options -> System sleep time: If it is 0 then there is no "sleep" timeout but only the screensaver timeout).

I did manage to get it working eventually, but discovered that what I though was an RGB converter was not, in fact, putting out RGB. I ended up purchasing another converter, this time for composite video (HDMI to CVBS) and using one of the BNC video ports. This worked fine with the appropriate video settings (hdmi_group and hdmi_mode) in added in config.txt. The adapter does not work with 576i, but does recognize 576p. Possibly because this is a video monitor, the image does not fill the display like on a TV - there is a black border - but it does work.

Can you please add more info about your setup and emulated game/emulator, as outlined in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first ?

Maybe the source or the PR that added the functionality, I can't find any other reference in the Libretro docs about it.

My 8bitdo Ultimate Wireless 2.4ghz controller with updated firmware also didn't work on the latest RetroPie image.
But I was able to make it work only after updating driver packages --> I noticed that xpad had update.

@jackal123uk Thanks for sharing your solution! Mouseberryes are out-of-stock for a while and I would like to use this concept to power RPi from the car battery. When the engine is turned on, one of the 12V battery outputs is active while the other battery output is always 12Vs, so the goal is to transform 12V to 5V only if engine is on, to power RPi. I wouldneed such circuit to safely power off RPi when engine is turned off.

As I have really limited experiences with hardware, I would like to ask you how to modify the scheme to support such solution? Why do you have this USB in your circuit? Thanks a lot!

@TPR that's the "menu driver" setting. RP default use the rgui driver cause it lightweight and perform well on low powered hardware like RasPi. I think the blue one in your picture is xmb. Other choices are glui or ozone.

If it's for MAME standalone version, In the first post here, do step 10 and 11.

These lines appear in the standalone version too but only affect the intro. The game is working without issues.

@raspberry79 If you mean the ram memory, then you will not have an issue even with 1 gb of ram.

You can also use an USB sound card, there's no need for a HAT/GPIO solution. Any card that advertises Linux support should work.
For a HAT solution, I think any of the DACs sold by the RPI folks directly might fit the bill - see https://www.raspberrypi.com/products/.

Did you try following the steps from https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Controller-Configuration/ ?

Is there a support question/issue here ? Lots of emulators included in RetroPie have updates, but usually not every update is advertised here in the forums unless they address a specific need or fix a certain issue.

Hi All :)
When trying to play Roland in the Caves, I found the the \ key does not work. In fact, none of the keys on my standard keyboard (with @ above the 2) seem to map to the \ key when using the the game.

The \ key works fine when using the Raspbian command line so it appears the regional settings are not the cause.

Any knowledge or ideas would be appreciated.

hi, the (') key is also the (/) key
so just map ' as the jump right key instead of the / key
and now you can jump right in roland in the caves and avoid the pesky pterodactyl and poo on his head :)

@sugarfree Ok nevermind. At first maybe I thought it was an rvz vs ciso thing, but I just loaded the .ciso 1080 Avalanche 5 times and on the 5th time it crashed. So I don't think the file type has anything to do with the random crashes.
