@mitu yes thank you but i am looking for one with a barrel plug that will plug into the neogeox case. or, since i have that aliexpress barrel/usb cable, a usb power brick that would work.

I have modified the emulator installation script as follows:

addEmulator 0 "$md_id" "psp" "pushd $md_inst; XDG_CONFIG_HOME=$home/.config/$md_id ./PPSSPPSDL ${extra_params[*]} %ROM%; popd"

So that emulators.cfg looks like this:

ppsspp-1.10.3 = "pushd /opt/retropie/emulators/ppsspp-1.10.3; XDG_CONFIG_HOME=/home/pi/.config/ppsspp-1.10.3 ./PPSSPPSDL --fullscreen %ROM%; popd"

And the operation is as desired, I have separate configuration files for the specific version of ppsspp.

@mitu I fixed it! There was a problem with the Wi-Fi links around the house, as i was in the back room. It appears that the keyboard has a problem, so that is probably fine as I connected a ps3 controller via Bluetooth. Thank you!

This has been accepted and merged on GlideN64 master branch, so the game should be fixed when updating from source on RetroPie setup.

@mitu that actually lit the lightbulb!

It turns out that the Xbox controller was the offender. Somehow it was messing with emulationstation when left on while rebooting. If I turn off the controller, everything comes back from restart no problem.

@windg Yeah i know Gex is also on PSX but i also wanted to try some other 3do games like Space Hulk, Star Control 2 and Wing Commander remake

Because every game needs a different amount to play the fmv, there's no real sweet spot to set it at. At the time I had it at 250, which gave it a good amount of rewind but clearly was too much for the games I mentioned. Some of them could only take about 50 which is not enough rewind.
The only solution I recommend is to turn it off when an fmv plays then turn it back on when it's over

Are both controller working properly when only one of them is connected ? What kind of controllers are you using ?
Can you add some more info about your setup, as requested in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first ? Fill in the info you know, especially the info about the controllers, Pi model (if it's the case) and emulator used.

@mitu Yeah, when I was searching the pin seem to suggest it was a speed issue, not a mount issue, which is why I overlooked it. So I figured I would just post anyway.

This is not the config.txt present on the RetroPie Pi4 image.
As I said before, the config.txt on the RetroPie image already has the lines:

... [pi4] # Enable DRM VC4 V3D driver on top of the dispmanx display stack dtoverlay=vc4-fkms-v3d max_framebuffers=2

Judging from the extra lines added at the end, I assume you're either using a RetroFlag/3rd party modified image or some additional scripts from RetroFlag have been run and have modified the config.txt.

You can give lzdoom (standalone Doom port) a try, it has controller support, though you may need a keyboard to set it up. Haven't used it with a controller, but it may have better performance.

That was easier than I thought - just needed a keyboard and a push in the right direction.

I have found this thread by search.
Apparently i have a similar issue but on my case i have put my current username and password to the right section but when try to launch skyscraper it's not be usage the corrent 20.000 limit but it's ever use "only" 10.000 so the login it's not work.

It's someone have a similar issue ?
