This thread's answer didn't work for me, unfortunately,
but updating the bluetooth driver did work for me.

sudo apt install pi-bluetooth

That's completely normal if you've ever played the actual arcade games. The only time you'll have the second controller active is on games where both players play at once.

Yes.

After this PR will be merged, it will be possible to use a separate folder for videos, just like for images, in the screensaver.

If you backup the SD image, it's a bit-for-bit duplicate of the entire SD card. This copies everything, updates, boot settings, installed packages...the mistyped commands in your bash history...everything. Just like you shut it off and just turned it back on again.

If you copy the roms, bios, and configs over the network share and then restore them to a fresh image, you will still keep most of your customizations (from the "configs" folder) but all your history, updates, etc. will be wiped clean and you will be starting fresh on those fronts.

according to some googling, I can use pkexec in place of sudo with chmod to fix the folder. What do you think?

@upjumptheboogie depending on the video player and your pi model, try lowering the video resolution and see if it helps.

@asktheaxis it should not be too hard to find a correct rom for SNES, it may become much harder when you decide to go for arcade roms ;D
However: a sidenote, you can keep the SNES roms in zip-format.
Try to search for zipped roms with the addition "good", "[!]" or "tosec".
Those will work for sure.

@megagames3999 See? now that's all i wanted.. i just spent 3-4 hours looking for a solution to filtering the adult roms in my arcade folder, went through 6-7 various filtering tools that were overly complicated or have a learning curve.

why can't mame rom organisation be more like this?

Technology hates me so things such as this are my norm. =) Thanks for the help, you presented the actual problem and I will work on the script. I found a site that has all emu movies at the correct bitrate or whatever is off.

Ok. All clear now. Thanks for the clarification.
I'm not a dev guy, so it's beyond my knowledge to modify the source code. I guess I have to prepare two set of config.txt, and reboot into the proper video mode when needed.
