@djspaceace not yet. There are a few people working on ES mods that let you change the appearance of the carousel, but I don't know if anyone is working on getting rid of it entirely. I think that would require a complete overhaul of ES. You could always try looking into retropie with attract-mode as an alternative to Emulationstation.

Well, I change from the theme SIMPLE to CARBON. No more problem. I made my new NES thems for the ROMs Hack and it works fine!

Installed the image last night, started loading my ROMS manually also.
I like the concept of the naming conventions and they way the lists are pre-generated so dropping a ROM in with the correct name, they just appear.

I changed to Robospin_v4 on the main screen as I didn't like the up/down movement go left/right.

@Dochartaigh good points all. I hadn't really considered a lot of that so thanks for the insight (well, in$ight :-D).

I made a "powder coated" texture so at first I'll try with UV mapping the cartridge.

Yes, black (or white) background already considered for creation of transparent images to be used in ES themes.

Especially useful also your tips on environment and reflections: I have zero knowledge in that area.
