@BZHGames said in Enter the contest for the best CPC players #GAME:

But in France, "abandonware" games are free to use.

Do you have a link to an official law/regulation ?

I don't see how to modify my topic to delete the link. Is it possible or should you delete the topic completely?

I've edited the text, you can do so from the hamburger menu at the lower right of your post.

    @mitu
Testing the frame rate, stayed a steady 60fps..
No clue where the sound issue is coming from but it's always done it with this game..

    This is not a ROM/game sharing site - https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/2/forum-rules.

That being said, there's a handy topic that it might be of help - https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/10918/where-to-legally-acquire-content-to-play-on-retropie.

@Tackskull .ecm files are not supported by the emulator, you need to convert them to .bin - https://visihow.com/Decompress_PlayStation_1_Games_from_ECM_to_BIN_Using_UnECM

@warner8572574 , I would suggest you post the the list of games from that site instead of the direct link next time. The site you posted has roms available on it and that could cause problems for the forum. Honest mistake i believe.

The list of Nes games on the site Warner8572574 was referring to.

Top 9 Rarest NES Games Ever Made

1.) Super Mario Bros (test launch)
    2.) Stadium Events
    3.) Cheetahmen 2
    4.) Bonk’s adventure
    5.) Panic restaurant
    6.) Nintendo campus challenge
    7.) Bubble bobble 2
    8.) Snow Bros
    9.) Tmnt tournament

@AndersHP You mean without emulation? Do you want run the games on your Raspberry Pie or an PC using RetroPie? Games build for PC are usually build for the x86 compatible Intel processors and the Raspberry Pie isn't compatible with them. If you want run PC games on your RPi, then you need to re-encode (means compile or build) for that system. That only works with the source code available and only if someone ports it by changing the code.

If I understood your question wrong, then sorry. Can you clear it up a bit, if I am wrong?

The port is working beautifully except that the ESC key is not mapped to the joypad.
Any ideas how to map it so that it makes it possible to exit the game without using a keyboard?

please note openjazz.cfg is binary so I'm unable to edit it and look into remapping.

    Many thanks

@m2306 Lag really doesn't have to be an issue, but it can be with the wrong hdtv. On mine I can't notice any input lag. Maybe I would be able to notice it if I could play the game side by side, crt tv vs hdtv, but it's all good for me the way I've got it set up right now.

There is a thread with a collection of sources for legal roms. It shows up as the fourth hit if you search the forum for "legal roms".

I used the automatic way of doing it by just making the retropie-mount folder in the root of the drive and plugging it in to the pi and just let it do its thing.

    Thanks.

Adding to @rbaker's reply, once you have your game created, you would add it to RetroPie as a Port.

I'm sorry I don't have the actual names for the games readily available, but my Attract Mode Advance Mame Trackball romlist is as follows:

    @BiZzAr721 @darknior

I know, such a shame not to integrate it

I think it would be easily possible of the official ones from chronocrash would take part and ...

i don't understand the Retropie Team

... would support a legal "RetroPie branch". I think our moderators are aware of rising support that is needed for this and indeed I can't support it because if something will fail (hardware support or whatever) on our Raspberry we are stuck and the only one who can provide better support ( @zanac ) is missing since end of 2018. Moreover OpenBOR is totally underated between other platforms so there is less awareness - but this is only my opinion.

Can we update our OpenBOR from the last source code like any emulator from Retropie ?

Yes with the scriptmodule but therefore I need to patch the files and upload them to my git. So we have a 6512-dev from Oct 2018 as latetst version on our Pie.
I will make a new patch if the 6512 is out of dev state.

Sorry for the stupid question but i break my right hand in January and stop a lot to work on computer :(

Oh dear ... hope you are well. But take this is chance work on your left hand. It's not a problem to even write with the left hand. Just a bit of training ;)
And... then you can also get in touch with 8bit mashines like, Commodore, Sinclair, Amstrad because you only need direction and one button -> Flightstick joypad ;)
