@JLaury See this post on how to rotate EmulationStation and the console boot screen. Note that the RetroArch's menu doesn't obey the video_rotation parameter.

Thanks, I will try this, but I doubt this will help. Raspberry PI OS and Emulation Station recognise the display correctly as they feed it with 1280x800 automaticaly. RetroArch seems to miss this information or ignores it.

Edit: With hdmi_ignore_edid=0xa5000080, resolution in raspi-config = 1280x800 and no resolution set in RetroArch everything works fine. I still do not realy get why, but thanks a lot @mitu!

@hawkes_84 a verbose log as per read this first will show you what overrides are in play. perhaps you have a per-game one that has the bezel. how did you apply them?

@lukePi-0 you shouldn't be adjusting the retroarch video driver in this circumstance. info on HW rendering in duckstation are here: https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/30743/lr-duckstation-experimental-new-playstation-1-emulator - you cannot use duckstation HW rendering on a pi3

i believe lr-pcsx_rearmed has a core option to remove dithering.

It's probably too much to ask as that's 100s of projects and updates to curate. i would guess that every day there's at least one update to a bit of software in retropie.

just 'watch' the relevant projects in github. eg https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup to receive update messages.

updates are also summarized in each retropie release: https://retropie.org.uk/news/

@mitu Thanks! I forgot, that individual controller settings can be done by the quick menu. I set it to "---" now an it works.

@goestohollywood Don't worry about the order in the file: ES is always shuffling that around anyway if you have 'save metadata' enabled. The list SHOULD be in alphabetical order inside ES either way (or else it's conforming to any <sortname> tags you might have).

      Great, thanks 👍

I've opened a PR to help improve the consistency between the two input types: https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/pull/3539

The reason why only snes and pc systems were working is that I had config file overrides for them 🤦‍♂️.

By comparing them to my global retroarch.cfg, I found out that having video_record_quality set to anything else but "4" (lossless) causes the audio issues while recording.

@PARALAX yeah, we can't really support you if you're using your own configuration - eg the "correct" BIOS folder for retropie is so because retropie's config heirarchy sets it - if you make your own config it will be whatever you set/retroarch defaults to.
