      @mitu I fixed the issue! I knew that the issue was coming from the retroarch.cfg in the gen/ps1 system and snes worked fine so by using that retroarch.cfg it worked great! Thanks for the help on figuring that out.

      @ballboff Didn't get that far :). Looks it's using an older release of RetroPie. Scammers.

      @mitu Thanks for the links, I'll have a look and try to figure it out. I don't think it's shaders though as when I go into that menu for either it doesn't say any shaders are set and when I enable one I get serious lag issues. The only difference I could see was the colour palette was different. But when I change that to be the same I only get a very slight green tinge. So I'm a bit stuck on what's causing that 😅

      I would like to know how to create this. I'm pretty savy but just got interested in overlays because I thought it would be too much trouble for my rotated cocktail arcade.

      I don't use bezels, but I just wanted to say that it's worth it to emulate the Williams clone of 1942 (lr-fba works well). Unlike the Capcom/Romstar version, the Williams version correctly refers to the 2nd button evasion maneuver as a Loop, not Roll, and consequently has Ls in the lower right corner instead of Rs. Also, the stage names are better (clearer).

      @thejester Don't enable config save on exit' in RetroArch, it usually messes up your controls. Instead, configure the gamepad in Emulationstation and if you want to fine tune your controls, then use the RGUI to re-map the controller and choose Core Remapping menu to save it per core or game/rom.
      Also, when you have a problem unrelated to the topic at hand, don't just hijack it with your questions/problems, just open a new topic instead.

      @andrewh - That is quite acceptable, as I'm always using a wireless keyboard when dropping to command shell.

      I remapped the controls of almost every core because of my joystick layout. I'm gonna buy a new controller with a different controller and default mappings are more fitting.

      I need to have the cores just like if I never remapped their controls

      @cheesymonkey please don't bump ancient topics.

      For your controller model, you should install the xpadneo driver and then (re-)map the controller in EmulationStation, you don't need xboxdrv unless nowadays unless you're trying to set-up some special mapping (i.e. emulate 4way joysticks, keys pressed on button combo, modify the deadzone, etc.)

      If you still have issues after installing xpadneo with the gamepad, please open a separate topic.

      @mediamogul That's what I thought too, but then he asked about it occurring only during running nes games made me think. Why only during nes games and not any other emulator ? Unless he is mimicking an nes classic. The OP didn't give much details.

      @mitu

      The only setting which might be related to the joypad is input_joypad_driver, which is by default udev. You can try re-adding back the file, then changing this to sdl2 and see if this fixes the mapping.

      Yeah, I tried that. Didn't change anything.

      I've decided to just restore my RetroPie install from a backup and avoid the Xpad driver update for the time being. I was able to update everything else individually without issue.

      Thank you for your time and I apologize for not seeing this through to end.
