@cyber92 What does 'not working' mean ? What files did you copy and what game are you trying ?

Make sure the .bin filename is correct and corresponds to the name in the .cue file. Linux is case sensitive so make sure it's the same name both for the on-disk .bin file and the file declared in the .cue - see https://retropie.org.uk/docs/PC-Engine/#pc-engine-cd for an example.

@cyber92 Create a new topic, but I suggest searching the forums first for a similar problem and reading the PS1 page in the docs - https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Playstation-1/.

@mitu Sorry for the delay in getting back to you and thank you for posting. Between work and being new to this, it took me a bit to get to the runcommand log (used winscp). I am positive I am using lr-mame2003, made sure to check through each step/popup and downloaded the romsets labeled as being 0.78. Checking the file, I do see where it says I am missing files and the game won't run. I thought that was weird seeing as the game worked previously the other day. (tmnt: the arcade game, (tmnt2po and tmnt couldn't get turtles in time working as its upside down), my friend owns the actual machine though it's since become a large paperweight, this pi is for him) However, I did delete and try to add the games again though usb drive (with light) and it still didn't work. I decided to try uploading the same games through winscp....and now tmnt the arcade game works again no problem. Perhaps this is a usb or card issue or something else? Not sure why it would work one minute and not the next. Here's hoping these versions work for a while. Sorry if I wasted your time.

@usarmyvet That depends on the emulator in question. Most emulators of Retropie are so called "cores" of RetroArch. See here how to smoothen their graphics in RetroArch and even "upgrade" them to some extend, i.e. making them look more like the vintage monitors the games were originally run on.

Cool stuff, will definitely download them.

Note that the developer is talking about a Kickstarter project for their new game where a low tier reward will be the ROM of the new game...

Snow Bros, Zupapa, Bang Bang Busters, Tumblepop and Don Doko Don are great kids games on MAME. Others already mentioned Frogger and Rod Land.

Also fantastic, but a fair bit more difficult, are Kickle Cubicle, Pang (aka Buster Bros) and Solomon's Key.

Also check out Funky Jet, although it might be deemed to 'aggressive' by some (beating enemies with boxing gloves while jetpaccing around).

For kids a bit older, Top Hunter: Roddy & Cathy might be fun, as well as Spinmaster.

      Hi,
There are free utilities that can search an entire folder and remove that one character from all file names. Pretty sure it’s called Bulk Rename Utility. I used it to tidy up all my file names

You want to rename the roms to remove region, or remove the roms that are not of your region ?
The first is basically not possible, because you can't have 2 files with the same name in the same directory :) You may batch rename them if you want, but can't simply remove the region.
The second options is also feasible, but we would need more informations.

Anyway, @BobHarris suggestion or scapping is the best way IMHO.

Sorry to be so awfully slow, but I have had my arcade put aside for quite some time, but @meleu I now reformatted my ROMS USB to NTFS format and now your script works!

      Well done and thanks!

      Merry christmas to you all!

Indeed I can load the ROMS without the USB connected.
I want them to stay om my USB or Network so I will try the second link also.
      Thx for the information.
