@markwkidd Good to see there is an active thread on the topic! Just posted there and hoping dankcushions's groundwork will make it easier for Offline and others to pick up the to-do for mame2010.

Mark this one as solved. Here is the current procedure for getting these to work:

Update 8bitdo firmware. Clear all previous paired Bluetooth devices. Make sure 8bitdo hack is OFF. With only a keyboard plugged in and both controllers off, turn on and pair each controller. Take one of the paired 8bitdo controllers and once back in emulationstation, hit start and assign the buttons.

Very important, you MUST assign the buttons in ES even if you have previously assigned the buttons while the controller was plugged in. The controller on Bluetooth is actually viewed as a different controller than when it is plugged in so your button map doesn't transfer over. Enjoy!

I figured out why its not working anyways... It appears that GDB has been down all week. I switched it to SS and its working better.

@wizzykin Not a bother, and welcome. There are plenty of themes out there to use that do not really need VLC to render well, so there's plenty to choose!

@jabbafeet I don't expect other people's numbers to be useful for other cases, as different TV sets have different requirements. I'd encourage you to follow the steps mentioned in the previous posts and understand what ranges work for you in the end. In one monitor I have I don't need these, in another one I end up needing negative values for some reason.

@batman I was looking into some LCDs too and I added most of those to my wish list while I was laying in bed the other night lol. But I discovered those 2k monitors and the capacitive touch monitors when I was making this post. Really good looking LCDs!

@whitesimo honestly you should get the romsets for lr-mame2003 or advmame and use those.

I use these as well - although, not to disable the configuration. I also edited them and removed the "Press A Button..." on the bottom part. Seems pointless to have that if part of the reason for that screen is to disable that ability (until between it closing the game booting), and also seems anyone who would need to do that, already knows what to press.

That was my little edit to those screens.

@retrorednek Just tried the US ROM at that exact spot, using lr-fceumm and it's fine. Dropped down into the cavern no problem.

Just tried the EU ROM, again no issues.

Just tried both ROMs in lr-nestopia, again no issues.

Sorry, problem seems to be on your end. Corrupted ROMs perhaps. Bad dumps.
