    @kdeck2004 :

    Update: I got my controller working again with RetroPi.

    Root Cause: I tried two wireless keyboards and hard wired them via USB to the RetroPi. Neither one was recognized.

    Solution: I used a regular USB keyboard that I use on my PC to connect to RetroPi. It immediately connected and was in use.

    I had to then go into the Bluetooth settings and ‘forget device’ my 8BitDo controller. I then re-paired it using the menu and it worked like a champ. :)

    If you're running retroarch from the command line, try looking in the folder that you're running the program from. So if you cd ~/games; retroarch then your videos will be saved in ~/games.

    Also the relevant setting is recording_output_directory (mine was an empty string which is why it was saving to the pwd)

    @sirhenrythe5th said in Getting a PS3 controller to work with Linapple emulator; tearing my hair out! HELP!!:

    mitu is of course absolutley right.
    I had a real Apple // in the early 80s and can confirm that quite a lot of games did not have joystick-support at all.
    Joysticks were rare and expensive during that period, not everyone had one like in our days ;)
    And you had even to open the Apple 2-Case to connect a joystick, the port was on the mainboard :D

    Yeah. Remember the CH "Mach III?" Good times....until you broke one of the pins off the connector, lol.

    @mxlothar by splash screen I assume you mean the title screen? I've always had issues with using controls on spectrum games. You'll need to go to retroarch menu (hotkey + X ) then go to inputs and change it to whatever suits the game. You'll be given a few options such as Kempston Joystick and Spectrum Keyboard etc. Try Kempston first then go back and see if anything works. One of the options should let you play with your controller. Good luck!

    @mitu the toggle was set to "PC", but I tried both settings just in case and there was no difference.

    I also downloaded an app to test input from controllers and got no signal, so I guess that settles it...

    I found a problem and it is now solved. I ran lr-dosbox-pure in verbose mode and in log /dev/shm/runcommand.log I found error:

    eglCreateImageKHR: failed to create image for buffer

    After searching for a while on the Internet, I found a tip for editing the file /boot/config.txt and add the line:

    gpu_mem = 256

    After this the display no longer flashes (flickering) and everything works fine.

    I still have to figure out how to emulate a mouse like a touchpad...

    This kind of display will not work without additional configuration (in config.txt) - which is usually documented by the vendor or by the display's manufacturer.
    You need to find the make/model of the display you're using and if the vendor/manufacturer site has the configuration you need to add to your system.

    Lol.. I was born in 1979... I don't remember the exact year but I'm more than sure to have had two classic gameboy.
    If i remeber it's cost aroud 150.000 Lire :)

    The first gameboy after a fall from a table I suffered a breakdown of the liquid crystals and after some months i buy my second gameboy.... then lost over the years :(

    several years later I won a gameboy color with an Italian coca-cola contest (you need to found somethigs under the cap.....
    I have also a little memories about the pocket version but in this case i don't remember to much....

    I just know that nowadays I don't find myself anything.....
    I also remember i have a lot of GIG Tiger.... on my childhood collection i have a lot of elettronics games like:
    1 Tomy Volleyball
    1 Gakken Soccer
    and many many other..... all lost :(

    The only handheld i have on my hand it's a perfect working "Mario Cement Factory"....

    then excuse me if i'm going a little OT but I like to remember those years every now and then :)

    @YFZdude
    I had his cable link of classic gameboy... but I don't have big memories of its use. Probably nothing in particular to remain etched in my memory after several years ....

    @dankcushions ok, i see.
    IMO it would be enough to exchange the title of this image to "a 3rd party-image".
    Does it really matter if is called Wolfanoz of Foxymouse Mega-Image to realize that those %$#!-images can bring trouble?
    Edit: i dont want to argue with you!!!! Its just that i hate these prebuilds :/

    Any idea why what I have Scraped in Arcade has not show up in my favorites?

    I will say if an item was Scraped to the Arcade and then moved to Favorites, the scraped info migrated to that area. Items already in my Favorites did not populate scraped info in the Arcade.

    Also a deleted item in Favorites is gone. I assumed it would return to the Arcade, but it is not there. Does this mean when you delete from the Favorites, you are deleting it from the system?

    I'm experiencing the same thing as OP and the "fix" from the other thread didn't work.

    From the "read first", my answers:

    read forum rules ✅ search the docs ✅ search the forum ✅ I found two, the one OP reference and this one; like OP, trying the change outlined in the other post did not work raspberry pi power supply ✅ I've got an official power supply for my pi 4 official image ✅ I flashed the base retropie image and the experience has been otherwise quite smoth

    @mitu said in Issues with update to 4.7.20:

    Yes, it's a bug in the RetroPie build of the new Flycast core (see the linked issue above) and at the moment it's crashing with Naomi ROMs. I'm testing some things for a fix.

    Unfortunately I've been unable to find a solution so far. In order to restore the functionality of the core, we've rolled back the changes - the core is again build from the libretro project's version of Flycast.
