Its now registering all axes 8-)

@BuZz I have a premade retropie in my raspberry pi zero, I use this one to play with 8/16 bit consoles and c64 emulators, with my raspberry pi 3 B i try to learn what are the things I can do, try which mame roms works and which not (without mess my primary retropie in raspberry pi zero), try to instal 3.5 lcd.....

It was working fine the last time I used it. Shut it down as normal now when I start it up it goes right to the command prompt with this error.

Oh I know you weren't and I thank you for the advise. You are correct, I will try and contact Floob or Kevin. I will try to reach out and in the meantime....going to just try it tomorrow. If it works, I will post my results to this post.

Yup no problem. I also feel like the guide should be more specific in stating the SSH and terminal spam problem, other than in the issues section that may not be noticed. I'm just not sure what section to state it in.

some mame games support hiscore saving via a file which details the part of memory which contains the scores etc so the emulator can dump/reload that part. I don't know if any of the nes emulators have any functionality like this.

Thank you, it completely make sense and it explains my problem. Is this possible to know which other files are changed by the script? I did not configure specific controls for any emulator, i am only using all/retro arch.cfg which works actually : control mapping is done from that file only as far as I know for my config and that's why I assumed restoring this file + input.cfg would be enough.

There are issues with it still imho - in the GUI, the mouse position is incorrect vs where the pointer is (makes it somewhat tricky to configure). The default opengl mode doesn't seem to work either - at least on grim fandango (software rendering seems ok though).
