I don't know if this is the best way, but I did figure out how to change it for this game and disable RetroArch saves to eliminate accidental overwriting. In case anyone else needs this in the future:

Create config file based on instructions from here, name will be [ROM NAME with Extension].cfg

In that file paste the following with the hotkey button of your choice:

#Change Hotkey for this game only input_enable_hotkey_btn = 3 #Disable RetroArch saves input_save_state_btn = null input_load_state_btn = null # Never save-on-exit after an override config # or the override will make into the core config. config_save_on_exit = false

The problem is in retroarch itself there is threads on here how to patch it to work, or just update to 1.7.6. I have no idea why your not updating your system.

    @Amishgamer
I just tested it again, with a few different systems, It does kind of squish the box, especially segacd, maybe a 640x640 square would be better. I'm sorry I'm not very good at this artwork.xml, I cant find a way around skyscrapers, compositing the boxart, even though all that it needs is for "cover" to be redirected to "screenshot". Did you try the built-in scraper?

It depends on how you're trying to set up the bezels. You can, in theory, put the .cfg anywhere and then point to it for each game. Or create an individual .cfg for each game. So it really depends on what you're trying to accomplish and how you are going to accomplish it.

I started messing around with individual bezels for arcade (and other) games, but then I stumbled across the Bezel Project. They have a preconfigured set of bezels for literally thousands of games (I count over 7000 games). You can also install bezels for individual systems. The only annoyance is that the roms need to be named according to the No-Intro naming convention, however this only affects console roms. Arcade roms are supported by their standard rom names.

You can see a video on The Bezel Project here:

You can get The Bezel Project script here:
    https://github.com/thebezelproject/BezelProject

Once you're installed reboot and you can install bezels for individual systems through the Retropie Configurations in the standard menu.

@Efriim Batocera is very similar to Recalbox, since it was started by a former Recalbox team member - so I'd expect them to be very close.

@2L8ULUZ I think @dankcushions explained very well earlier why. We don't support scammers that sell RetroPie and their images. In short, if you need support, then use the image that RetroPie project provides - as other have already said.

@Efriim Hello and welcome to the RetroPie forums.

I don't play N64 so I can't say what exactly is the best choice here, the recommendation is usually to use the standalone emulator for best performance and even so not all games are playable. In general, N64 emulation on a Pi is not ideal - other may provide better answers to this question.

The standalone pcsx_rearmed is no longer developed, use lr-pcsx_rearmed which is better supported.

It's not a bug, it's how the Sony drivers work and it's the OS/kernal that handles this. Register 'both' controllers (wired and wireless) and they should work depending on how you connect them.

There is a recent topic about Dreamcast games and their performance after the latest update - https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/21031. I don't use the emulator so much, so others may have a better response.

RetroPie uses whatever Raspbian's default is - so /tmp is mounted on the sdcard and not using the RAM (as most Linux PC distributions do). I assume it's because of the limited RAM memory available on such systems. RetroPie does not have any preferences here, so you can use whatever solution you like best.

Every emulator will use the GPU - directly or indirectly - otherwise they wouldn't be able to output anything on the screen :). I don't see why it shouldn't be possible to run a music player in the background, there's no limitation imposed by RetroPie - remember that the Pi image is just a Rasbpian Lite installation, almost unchanged from upstream.

@rubberdinghy You'll need to ask the seller to provide the Raspberry Pi version - https://www.lexaloffle.com/pico-8.php?#getpico8 - and then follow the instruction on their site to add a new system in Emulationstation.

Yes. I have receiver. That was my problem. When I connected the receiver, I would get the lightning bolt, but now I am using a 10,000maH powerbank with 2.4A output and I have not had an issue so far. Thanks for your help.

@TheSausageKing after you map the keyboard are you pressing the button you mapped as "a" to ok the configuration? Once you do it, it can take 20 secs or so sometimes for the configuration to take effect.

@Superman550 if you don't know the rules then read them. Telling people what to Google and spamming them to scumbag YouTubers is no different than posting romsites.

Locking this post as nothing productive is coming from it.

you need to reinstall settingsmenu from setup on cli, although you can just wait for later today when 3.0 comes out.
