@arcuza hi, you can add this configuration to config.txt:
    hdmi_ignore_cec=1

Special kind of stick, for controling movement whilst shooting in another direction (example ikari warrior),

Ah, OK. I learned something here!

    "Eierlegende Wollmilchsau"

Hahahahaha! I learned another thing today! Yes, I totally understand.

P.P.S.: Seeing such Wiki Articles now(adays) are somewhat frustrating me: Analog-Stick - sigh...

That article leaves a lot to be desired. Lots of words, and yet says very little that's useful!

I may take another pass at searching for details on the UltraStik 360 + RetroPie, and think more carefully whether it's something I might want to try — or not. Part of me, at this point, wants to just load MAME directly on something like an Intel NUC, running Windows, and call it done. I really only use the arcade functionality of RetroPie, and perhaps another platform would be better suited to what I actually want.

But... The tiny little Raspberry Pi is appealing for many reasons — cost among them — so who knows.

    Thanks for replying.

@stevecrawf0rd those files found on whdload.de are just installers, you need to find another source for the actual games. These games are the ones you should put in the amiga folder.

Thank you! - The font was so small I couldn't see this option but it is corrected now.

    Thanks @thorr69

I found deleting the RTB files in:
    retropie/configs/amiga/amiberry/whdboot/save-data/Kickstarts/

Then restarting sorted out the issues I was having. I think there were some leftovers from the other files causing a conflict perhaps. Sorted now though.

@mitu I sincerely apologize I assumed my message was clear. The buttons were mapped but they were mapped to the joystick and the D-pad, etc. However, I was able to figure it out this morning. I keep trying to change the controller config under Quick Menu and then Controls but it is actually under Settings and then Input. I sincerely apologize for the confusion. I really appreciate your time.

@krystalis I thought it might be more than just that diagram. I did have to do a minor edit to the config file for the controller, but I can't remember what it was. I hope you get it sorted.

Finally i found a really easy solution We Just need to press

Ctrl+Alt+F2, login, then write emulationstation, to go back Quit Emulationstation and press Ctrl+Alt+F1.

The mouse works like a charm in atomiswave and mame, just put the game, go to Retroarch, Quick menu, Settings, Input p1, Move the mouse Index and the mouse to see it, no need udev nothing! Just that. I try to logout but now Raspberry pi OS have a Login Graphical screen, so we can't logout and run emulationstation just from a desktop Shortcut. But is a solution to shoot in games.

the standard for fight sticks is

    Y X L B A R

this should get you good defaults in arcade cores, a sensible layout in console cores.

    @g30ff Thanks, I sorted it.

I was doing everything right with the m3u file but I forgot that when I update the emulator config file in Attract Mode to include m3u via the network I need to reset the whole system for the changes to update. Bit of a "d'oh" moment really. When it was previously loading only one disc it will have been picking up the .chd files themselves as they were similar in name.

@jiryn map dpad and analog to UI under input general.

Mame2003 does not natively support analog so you'll need to use analog to digital after mapping your dpad.

    Mame2003-plus does natively support analog

Make sure you're mapping (up dpad and up analog) to everything you want to be able to use either on.

@lostless You’re right - it works instantly now. I was looking for a solution before posting, but somehow this post didn’t come up. It probably should be pinned somewhere.

    Thanks!

@bollwerk I have the same problem, I'm trying to run raspbian on pi boy. At first I was stuck on LCL screen, but after adding mzdpi6.dtbo + config.txt of original pi boy sd card, the screen is no more stuck to lcl but it has vertical colored lines. I don't see other things, only these lines.

Have you an idea for that?

PS : if you wonder why I do that it's because I bought pi boy only for using little piggy tracker, a free program for make music with gamepad or buttons. And the retropie which is in my original sd card has problems, each time I change something in the sd card (using sd usb adaptor to linux computer), emulationstation doesn't start for a while (so i'm stuck on black screen, and it sometimes start again completly randomly...)
So i'm searching something more stable and I already know how to boot directly on little piggy tracker it is working on an other raspberry pi

    Thank's

@mitu said in Remove the RetroPie Slash Screen?:

    See https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Splashscreen/ for configuration options.

Ah yes, now I remember. I was able to do this on my Pie 3 B, but it had been so long I couldn't find it again (even though it was staring me right in the face). Was too focused on the terminal commands that I forgot about this menu. Simple and effective. Thanks!

@mitu thank you for chiming in, just been trying to do my research before posting so as not to create dupe posts here if at all possible; knowing this I'll try to rephrase and repost.
