    @mitu Thanks, appreciate the help.

    I tried many times to autoconfigure the Nvidia controller (Manage packages -> Manage core packages -> emulationstation -> Configuration -> and run Clear/Reset Emulation Station input configuration) and recreating it, every time it created the same shorter name. Only using the Retroarch menu, the new longer file name was created. As soon as that file was created, I stopped seeing the "not configured overlay", and seeing "Nvidia controller on port 2" (or something along those lines). And the controller started working

    I really think that there is something weird with the auto-creation of the Nvidia controller. It's possible that somehow Retroarch and the auto configuration use different APIs to get the device name? Or that the V1.03 controller is somehow behaving differently?

    Anyway, hopefully anyone else with this problem will bump into this thread and get a possible workaround

    This did not take long... :( Already the second save state crashed the game back to the menu.

    Change the default resolution to 1080p, 4k will be too much for the Pi. Add to your config.txt file:

    hdmi_group=1 hdmi_mode=16

    @CodeKing Try installing the desktop first - https://retropie.org.uk/docs/FAQ/#where-did-the-desktop-go - and then selecting the boot to desktop - https://retropie.org.uk/docs/FAQ/#how-do-i-boot-to-the-desktop-or-kodi.

    Make sure you're package list fully updated first - run sudo apt update from a terminal or use the RetroPie-Setup update function to update the OS/packages.

    Resolved!
    I changed the ppa directory of the video drivers, and updated the mesa and the vulkan, I noticed that there was an update of the video drivers, then I updated the retropie. Thank you all.

    Hi to all,

    The scriptmodule was working ok on pi3 and Stretch Debian to add 3 games to pi ports section.

    On Debian Stretch games and script run fine as it uses the libcurl3

    Not the case with Pi4 that no OS upped to Debian Buster. It is using libcurl4

    When you ran any of the games your get this:
    "/usr/lib/arm-linux-gnueabihf/libcurl.so.4: version `CURL_OPENSSL_3' not found (required by /home/pi/RetroPie/roms/gamemaker/MalditaCastilla/MalditaCastilla)"

    curl3 and 4 cant coexist. Is there a workaround for buster or games need to be recompiled by the GMS ppl and shared again?

    Simple and fast solution, I'm ashamed I didn't find this myself, but I'm new to retropie and there is so much to learn. There are so many menu's to explore and the first days I managed to render my system useless (more than ones) by changing wrong setting so I ended up starting from scratch. I think this is part of the fun, back in the old days (I got my first vic 20 in 1982) you had to figure things out the hard way too, thank God one can sometimes rely on the internet community for help.

    @YFZdude Alright man you are the winner, I had been doing config edits all day yesterday and tried both HDMI-D ports during those edits, and at some point at the end of the night when I did the hdmi_group 1 and hdmi_mode 16 edits I did not test the cord in the primary hdmi-d slot as I had thought.
    It figures the one edit I added in that actually works is the one I stopped testing both slots on.

    I have the pi 4 in a case so remembering which slot was the primary was my user error.
    What a nightmarish night for something so simple, thanks again to everyone in here that helped out. It runs in 1080p now.

    Edit: The resolution to the problem was having the hdmi cord plugged into the primary slot (nearest the usb hub) on the pi 4. User error.

    @smartroad said in No shader parameters?:

    I'm guessing I have missed something or this just isn't supported with this version?

    It should be supported, but I don't see any dotmask.glslp (preset), just the shader itself (.glsl) - are you sure you're not loading another preset, that includes the dotmask shader, and has parameters to adjust ?

    @simpleethat if you install raspbian(pixel) on pi4 in retropie setup, then configure on desktop then when your done just play in retropie, I play from desktop for now cos my kids use some cheats.
    Use keyboard to exit since or add your menu and press twice, but be careful not to enter a menu and get stuck, it happen to me and I reset my settings, hehe.

    Good luck

    @afcalan2307
    If this fails then it's the game, or change the emulator, I had this issue with gba Metroid fusion.

    cheats = 1 cheat0_desc = "faster leveling" cheat0_code = "12345678+0000" cheat0_enable = "true"

    Old thread, sorry, but I can't seem to get WA2 to run past the title screen in pcsx-rearmed. It fades to black when I press start, then hangs. Is this a known issue? Can I fix it with specific settings? (I forced NTSC and 640x480, but that didn't fix it). I'll take slow battle music over this any day...

    @Rated-R said in Lr-hatari it does not work:

    I already delete retroarch.cfg, uninstall and install, then only works for a once, the second time I launch it backs to the emulationstation.
