@blerkotron i have got the same issue with the analog sticks using a Sixaxis Controller.
Also works fine with jessie.

Something seems to affect the analog Inputs of Sony Controller when using stretch.

@phanhuyen unfortunately the new version doesn't run well. Since we install the Debian packages, it's possible the Stretch one doesn't also if it's been updated. New version on SDL2 uses opengl afair from my testing and is slow without.

@dankcushions i think i just solved my own problem. its because i put a input_overlay in the retroarch and its overriding the game files huh?

I'm having the same hiccups since updating to 4.4 (4.3.17 practically) but it could be a "nocebo" effect due to the hefty amount (45GB) of titles, box art and videos (unrelated to the RCA topic I made previously).

I'm pretty sure though that things were slightly faster before (3B with 4.3 instead of 3B+ with 4.4) and that "hang for 5 seconds" thing I'm too having didn't happen until 4.3.16/17. To put it in a sentence, navigation feels a bit more laggy and stiff than before.

However, I'm not having the second part of adm166's problem with images showing grey, etc which sounds like a VRAM issue.

I think github itself is having issues because I got the same error when syncing something else from github entirely.

That's to bad. Wish they would release a USB Adapter for the 2.4ghz models.

Dosbox definitely has a rotation, I can move with the mouse but only within a circle that snaps back to center that's def analog stick mapping. Where do I change that setting I have not come across any for mouse.

im using HDMI for video and jack for audio, iv' got sound set to "both". im try to change it and we'll see.

edit: i set sound to 3mm jack only and i still hear white noise.

what about alternative sound driver which was available in RP4.3.x ? it could solve the problem ;)

@andrewh The Go binary installation is downloaded from https://storage.googleapis.com/, so you might want to whitelist it in your PiHole installation. Glad you got it sorted out.

I fixed the issue by resetting my RetroPie gamelist to the default settings.

Open /opt/retropie/configs/all/emulationstation/gamelists/retropie/ Replace gamelist.xml with these preset settings Restart EmulationStation

Your icons should hopefully return with full descriptions.
