Which player are you referring to ? You might want to install Kodi and try to find an add-on that suits your needs. RetroPie does not do video/media play, but Kodi can. In fact, if you're interested only in media/video, then you'd be better off installing a Kodi image instead of RetroPie.

@mediamogul Mmmmm....I've tried different games but they all end the same. Maybe I should wait a little time for BlueMsx to become more powerful form the cassette point of view. Meanwhile I can use OpenMsx which works great!

The driver for individual buttons is mk_arcade_joystick either from the retropie script or you can download it from https://github.com/recalbox/mk_arcade_joystick_rpi

I have the same problem (same ALSA error initializing Vice) with Hifiberry DAC+ Standard, but it seems that I only have one sound module. I was hoping somebody could hint a solution because everything works except Vice (and it is my favourite computer)

If I type

Edit: bad formatting

I tried overclocking on my pc but didn't notice anything. It's weird. Maybe the game itself just uses less frames for jumping/projectiles. The player can smoothly move left/right while at the same time an enemy can throw a projectile at a lower framerate. The whole game doesn't slow down.

Searching for this setting yield only this issue on Github - https://github.com/libretro/RetroArch/issues/4820 - which seems to suggest that the setting does nothing and it's not implemented in the mame core.

Have you tried using save states (.stateX files) ? Does it work ?

What I did was uninstall xpad driver, reinstall, reboot, reconfigure the joypad in ES. And bingo! Back in business :-)

By the way, paradadf, I have just try skraper and It detects a lot more roms! It's incredible (and very easy to use, using the windows program). Maybe I will have to manually scrapping only few roms. Thanks a lot!
