@Brutilus Did you install any driver for your controllers ?
Update your RetroPie installation (if you haven't done already) and reset your controller configuration, then try to install the ps3driver and pair your PS3 controllers. Make sure they work, then report back if they haven't.
You can debug your input configuratio/detection by looking at the Emulationstation's log file - in ~/.emulationstation/es_log.txt.

I ran into a login prompt at the console on reboot though...which was strange

That happens when systemd is updated - a known Raspbian behavior - https://retropie.org.uk/docs/FAQ/#why-emulationstation-doesnt-start-automatically-after-an-update.

@lmjiang1 Hi. I've been trying to get my M30 pad working with my Pi running Retropie, and it connects ok via Bluetooth, but my problem is that the controller won't recognise the R or C buttons when configuring it in Emulation Station. Do all your buttons work ok?

If I were to hazard a guess, I would say that changing over to a USB boot means that your USB ports are staying powered on when your system isn't running. You should probably just unplug the power source after shutdown.

@FlashFlood2864 That's good news. Your welcome. If you get any problems with your wifi connection in the near future, you can try changing the wifi channel in your Router's administration.

Being on a wifi channel chosen by your Router is not always feasible and could decrease the wifi's signal if there are too many wifi network's using the same wifi channel. The Router might have a built-in wifi channel tester. :-)

@TimeDoctor said in Control works inside ES, but not in-game:

None of this would be a problem if the ES input configuration were passed to retroarch properly.

My suspicion is that you've reset the RetroArch configuration and it doesn't look for the gamepad auto-configuration file in the folder where Emulationstation saves it (/opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch-joypads).

It might be worthwhile to uninstall and reinstall the Xpad driver. After my last update, I had to do that inorder to get my 8Bitdo controllers to fully function again.

I know it is an old topic, but I really like Space Oddity theme and I cant disable OMXplayer, so I changed some values at the theme file and this was the result:
      WhatsApp Image 2019-05-20 at 18.12.25.jpeg

I changed pos and origin values, and replaced maxSize for size. You can see the file and change it by yourself, or just download and overwrite it

      Changes:

@mitu Would one land in another shell, then? If so, a quick emulationstation should restart ES, which may be a little less invasive than to restart the whole system with REISUB. (Just hypothesizing.)

      Yes - https://retropie.org.uk/docs/lr-mame2003/#cheats

And where you find MAME games without viruses and other stuff ?

I has installed multiple OS's initially, but then realized they partitioned out equal amounts of my SD card equally. So I reformatted my SD card and did again. Why do it with PINN if I'm only installing 1 OS? I wasn't sure if I was going to install 1 or 2 OS going in.
