Maybe you could host your scripts on GitHub and hopefully the community would contributes and help you add new features.

Might be better to have short games that take a couple hours to finish unlocked for a day but maybe longer RPG style games should be unlocked for several days? I'm not sure if your friend likes to focus on RPG's to finish them or if he plays RPG's at all. Maybe RPG's only unlocked over the weekend and have a small handful of unique shorter games unlock each weekday (like different ones every weekday)?

I have made a verbose version of retropieXstation called retropieXstation-verbose.

It is created to find problems if roms or emulators do not work.

Beware : It only works with retroarch libretro cores and zipped rom files do not always work !

You can download it with 'wget' in your terminal and then puts it on your desktop :

wget https://raw.githubusercontent.com/FollyMaddy/retropieXstation/master/retropieXstation-verbose.py -P $HOME/Desktop

Instructions on how to run the script are in the script itself.
Just load it in a text editor and read the text.

It's the upstream stella, but I am not sure how to compile it as libretro core... so I do not know I it's compatible with arm architecture.

I agree! Would be pretty nifty to actully have it being USED as a touchscreen! :)

Thanks for the info! I will try and have a look at it when I get a chance. I've modded it to download my PR from github before, to test the fix we did, so I don't think it should be to hard.
