    @shavecat Nope. Read what I said.

    Lr- Daphne sucked the last time I tried it on my pc. No audio, compatibility was bad, weird folder structure, and crashes a lot.

    @AdamBeGood Daphne Singe only plays certain games. My post that I linked to has the list. The dev also has his own Daphne port but I'm not sure that it's arm compatible.

    It's arm compatible, and has singe support built in, but doesn't run roadblaster on retropie...

    @Parabolaralus Looks like it can be kernel related.
    I made it work yesterday on older RetroPie based on Debian Etcher. However, the system was a few years old and I decided to make a fresh install. And it was a mistake because nothing was wrong with an old install, I just wanted to clean up the system garbage after several years of usage...

    After re-install I have top heat instead of dpad left e.t.c.

    I also tried Batocera, Reacalbox everywhere it looks the same.

    Sorry the quality is so bad. Hopefully you can see the signal blanking out as I switch between the menu and the running system. The monitor's HDMI2 input notification appears in the top-right each time this happens.

    The output resolution is 1080p@60 in both the system and the menu (I tried to show this but it's hard to see the monitor's OSD).

    It feels more like the SDL window(?) is being recreated as I switch between the system and the menu.

    With the FKMS driver, the monitor never blanks out and switching between the running system and the menu is instant.

    @8Ataco For N64 not all games run good.
    As for DreamCast try:
    over_voltage=3
    arm_freq=1750
    core_freq=600
    v3d_freq=750

    You must just edit the conig.txt file. So take out the SD card, insert in a Mac card reader or slot and edit the file in any txt editor.
    You must place this above mentioned lines under the line with the text:
    "#uncomment to overcloak the Arm. 700Mhz is default"

    @mitu Here's the text that came out after the commands:

    AP///////wBMLe4NAA4AAQEbAQOAeUR4CiOtpFRNmSYPR0q974BxT4HAgQCBgJUAqcCzAAEBBHQA MPJwWoCwWIoAUB10AAAeAjqAGHE4LUBYLEUAUB10AAAeAAAA/QAYSw9RHgAKICAgICAgAAAA/ABT QU1TVU5HCiAgICAgAToCA0/wU18QHwQTBRQgISJdXmJjZAcWAxIsCQcHFQdQPQTAVwcAgwEAAOIA D+MFAwFuAwwAQAC4PCAAgAECAwTjBg0B5Q5gYWVm5QGLhJABAR2A0HIcFiAQLCWAUB10AACeZiFW qlEAHjBGjzMAUB10AAAeAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAArQ==

    Additionally, after hours of messing with this, when I plugged it in today it was magically working. I had just rebuilt the box after an issue with SSD corruption. I'm still willing to pull data/test to help anyone else who has come across this issue. I also plan on rebooting a few times to see if this is a fluke.

    @CH their product page on amazon says to go to https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Xin-Mo-Controller/ for retropie configuration. basically it seems you need to add usbhid.quirks=0x16c0:0x05e1:0x040 to your kernel parameters, i don't know the specifics for linux mint but i'm sure google will tell you how to do that.

    Using a PC, Clonezilla comes to mind: https://clonezilla.org/
    Haven't used it for RP SSDs so far, but it is my preferred choice for my Desktop PC(s) external Ubuntu Boot HDDs...

    So I have installed a damasos nostalgia trip 200gb and my pi4 4gb is in an Argone40 case and it has been mostly running fine.

    We don't support 3rd party images - it's clearly stated in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first. Start with the image from retropie.org.uk/download if you wish to get support here in the forums.

    @ToddThomas said in RetroPie/EmuStation/RetroArch not Keeping IPAC4 Config:

    Let me take one step back and ask you this. On a fresh install of Retropie, if all I have hooked up is the IPac4, should EmulationStation prompt me that there is no controller/gampad recognized (like the F310)? Or should it move on to the heart of the program?

    On a fresh install, it always ask to configure controlls (even with a recognized controller). IMHO that it ain't reporting something like "keyboard detected, press any key to configure it as input" and just states that no controller was detected is a bit arguable, nevertheless on first start that is the expected behaviour.
    But afterwards, if the keyboard was setup as a controller, the dialog shouldn't appear anymore - and besides /opt/.../all/retroarch.cfg I have no idea what other configs could be responsible and /core/rom override retroarch.cfgs should have no effect on ES.
    Could you log into your system via ssh and look at the output from lsusb to see if the IPac is listed as a recognized Device if that Requester Pops up again after the initial setup?

    Please don't bump old topics. I've split your post from the topic you previously replied.

    Regarding your question - did you copy any ROMs/games in the zx81 folder, then restarted EmulationStation ? Even if the emulator is installed, the system will not show up in the list unless you have some content.

    Addendum: You could (re-)compress the uncompressed .cue and .bin pairs (or multiples) to the CHD format with will often shrink them up to around 50% of their former size and put them into just one file you can drop into your roms/psx directory. In my experience, those CHDs will run in 80-90% of the cases.

    This one-liner will do that with all cue files and their corresponding bin files in the current directory.

    for i in *.cue; do chdman createcd -i "$i" -o "${i%%.*}.chd"; done

    Important: This will cut off the filenames after the first dot for the output CHD filenames. Remove one % from "${i%%.*}.chd to cut only the last extension for compatibility with filenames with multiple dots.

    Beware though that this will only work with single-disk games. For storing multiple disks in one container you'll need the PBP format, which is also supported by Retropie's PSX emulators.

    That said, be sure to check https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Playstation-1/ to see which emulators support CHD if you want to go that road.

    But I want to save the image scaling to all games in that system. Is that not possible?

    It is, the same Overrides menu has a Save Content Directory override, which saves the settings for the entire folder.
