This is indeed part of a safe shutdown circuit.
This pin needs to be HIGH while the raspberry pi is on and not change its state before shutdown process completes, because it drives the mosfet that provides power to the pi.

So, you don't use the official Retropie image? Third party images are not supported here, because they may differ from the official one and thus, may have problems which the official doesn't. Has anyone figured out how to use LEDspicer with MAME to automate which buttons are used per ROM? I have LEDspicer running but can not for the life of me figure this out.

@Jimi007 Yeah the zero is too slow for Amiga, it also struggled with 32X.

I found that out the hard way after setting up a "MicroMiggy" using one and only realised at the end that its too slow.

Never mind, I didn't realize when I saved the python script it saved additional embedded formatting. I just had to download a straight text editor and it is working fine. Thank you.

Late response to an old question but figured to post it as I ran into this problem my self and googled to this post:

Solution:

You need to edit the lair.txt file from the original directory:
H:\HyperPC\Roms\daphne\lair.daphne

to retropie's directory:
/home/pi/RetroPie/roms/daphne/lair.daphne

Edit: further review and research you could just delete the first row leaving a blank space

Skyscraper has an import module, use it to add your own info to the cache so your information doesn't get overwritten in the resulting gamelist.xml. Runtime logs can be found in $HOME/RetroPie-Setup/logs, timestamped and compressed.

You can try @BuZz's suggestion, but aptitude is not installed by default on a Raspbian lite.
Try forcing apt to install the Raspbian version:

sudo apt install --reinstall libssl1.1=1.1.0l-1~deb9u1

You are the best!
Both of these solutions would work out (tried 1st one without answering yes, but it would downgrade libssl and install lighttpd).
I used the @mitu one and then installed lighttpd.

According to the game manual you'll have to press both buttons for a long jump:

FOR A SHORT JUMP - Use the ARROWS to indicate your direction and press BUTTON 1
FOR A LONG JUMP - Use the ARROWS to indicate your direction and press BUTTON 1 and BUTTON 2 simultaneously.

Thank. God. That was so much easier (though I still confused myself.) At least doing it that way I can test it in the game and change it on the fly if it wasn't right. Megadrive/Genesis is mapped correctly, so now I just need to work on the MAME games themselves (which I can save per game config instread of per core.)

That seems a bit over-complicated. I'd maintain 2 sets of auto-configurations for the gamepads - one having a hotkey and the others without it - and switch between them by modifying the auto-config folder where RetroArch looks for the gamepad .cfg files, that folder is set in the main retroarch.cfg file.
