@vincedj no problem. Lr-mame4all works with it but not sure what you are needing out of the non libretro version (ie:special controller, shaders, etc..). Mame 2003 is a libretro and support trackballs, mouse and stuff like that.

Even though that solution can help me, I would like to know if anyone has experienced the same issue with the second joystick in Mame4all. There should be a lot of gamers using two arcade joysticks connected to a Raspberry.

It is like there is no driver for the second stick (remember that the buttons work fine) only in Mame4all, since it works perfectly in all emulators, including Advance Mame. It seems incredible, but I promise that's how it is.

I've got it figured out. I mapped the buttons as if I had an SNES controller (backwards). This corrected the problem with SEGA. The only issue now is that in EmulationStation, it says to press A to enter, B to go back, etc. For somebody not familiar with the system, that can be confusing. By going through the RetroArch-Setup scripts and swapping the A/B buttons, it only does it in EmulationStation. So everything now works like it's supposed to.

This is very odd,Had to re flash the image and everything is working again,It like it couldn't load the bios file to the Sega Mega CD weird..:D so this has not happened to anyone else then,This will teach me to copy my SD card to a image,just got to copy the videos and other images over and it done,but I will make a image of it once it done so if it happens again they will not be a problem,I think it was a space issue..So remember don't let the SD card run out of space.

Thanks for your reply. I want to update the topic; I couldn't follow the link because I couldn't get F4 work as told in the guide (I think because of my keyboard). But I tried another joypad which is identical and that worked just well, really weird.

And I wanna ask another question;
Since raspberry is getting warm I have ordered heat sink with a fan (link is below) but it says running current is 0.2a and I guess that I cannot feed it from directly raspberry pi 3 (for which I have 2.5a adapter), or can I?

For anyone interested, I was able to figure this out,

I was using crt-pi shader, but for whatever reason this causes problems with genesis plus gx. Using crt-pi-vertical shader produces the identical results that I get in other emus using crt-pi shader.

I still have a question related to this topic.

My workaround works, but it requires a reboot of my RPi which is not very convenient - does anybody know a way of disabling a CPU core online? On non-ARM CPUs it is possible by echo'ing "0" to /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpuX/online, but here it won't work.

If you are playing the old Kings Quest IV dos game (the one with the type in prompt at the bottom of the screen that looks like ">"), type save. It will ask you the location, just press enter and then it will ask you to select a directory to store your saves. When you restart, start a game and then type load and the same screen will appear.

If you happen to be on a Mac and have mounted the roms folder, the Finder may have put a bunch of invisible garbage files inside a few folders. If this is the case, you can view and delete them by using an alternative remote file browser such as 'Cyberduck'.
