Replacement arrived and is working in my prototype"Switch" case (almost finished!). However, why did I have to reset my Wi-Fi password if I used the same SD card from an identical Pi 4? It is encrypted with the processor ID?

@mitu Thanks for all your help and effort. I fixed it by checking a bunch of retroarch.cfg's. The one in 'configs/arcade' was at fault.

Makes sense, as I only use the arcade folder on my cab.

@canispeaktodave Hi, I have an lcl piboy allso and am so happy to learn here that with a dongle in the usbport, the dropped button presses are over! It really makes a huge difference! Thanks for the tip. Did you eventualy come up with a perminent solution or did you stuck with a dongle in the usb port?

@jakejm79 Did you ever figure this out? I was thinking it would be awesome to use the same idea to unlock the console with key inputs to be able to use a coin dispensor. But am not finding anyway to do what you were requesting either.

@JJRambo the point is that only the creator knows what is in his creation.
This concerns all kind of things, not only a retropie-image.
So i have no idea who you could ask to get a really good answer.
You could ask people somewhere else what they are guessing.....but in usual it does not help.

The thing is, those systems use the same emulator - so use different emulators for those system. Try lr-genesis-plus-gx for megadrive and lr-picodrive for mastersystem so each system has it's own libretro core that you can configure differently.

The problem it's not the hotkey, a lot of NES games use the select button for doing things in game.
I'm a medium-skilled developer, with some guidance on the retropie bluetooth scripts and stack I could write myself a script which does in background the pairing procedure again, at least with one model, the SN30.
If someone is willing to help or pointing me to who ask questions to, i'll be happy to try to write then publish such script.

@77claws Have you tried configuring the sound output from the Audio menu in RetroPie ? Choose the Headphones jack as the default sound output and it should route all audio over the 3.5mm jack.

Instead of changing these settings in raspi-config. Have you tried adding these settings in config.txt instead?

Video options in config.txt

For example
hdmi_ignore_edid=0xa5000080
hdmi_ignore_cec=1
hdmi_group=1
hdmi_mode=4

Glad it worked out !
NOTE: I added some code blocks around the scripts code so it's easier to see and (maybe) copy&paste for future users.

How about no type ? You can create a file with no extension or you can add a .txt extension to the file (ssh.txt).

It's not end-user friendly but it's possible..

You would have to compile it for pi (if available), add it to the emulators folder and edit it into the config files and es_system.cfg

That's how I have Mame4Rage2 and Supermodel running on my x86 build.
