A Sega CD game? That would probably instantly explain why it isn't working. I knew I found it in a pile of other TG-16 roms so that's why I stuck it there but if it belongs in the Sega CD pile then I'll give that a whirl.

I'll keep picking at this one rom and emulator at a time.

Well, all is well. It worked and worked perfectly. The saved games were there and ready to go. They loaded and played without issue, though it's a bit different playing them on the Zero than it is on the 3 B+, of course. Lower resolution and the startup takes a bit longer.

Right now I'm updating Emulation Station so that I can get the scraper working properly, which went fairly quickly with the Pi 3 B+, but is taking forever with the Zero. It's chugging along, though.

Thanks for you help, everyone. I truly do appreciate it. :)

I took a quick look and it seems that, while possible, 'Stepmania' on RetroPie would require a lot of work for a somewhat flawed result. You would need to compile it for the Pi, run it in the desktop environment to get experimental OpenGl support and then create a launch script to execute from Emulation Station. After that, integrating and mapping a dance mat would also be required. When it's all said and done, it looks like those who got it working previously saw poor performance. You can read up on it more yourself by just searching for "Stepmania Raspberry" in Google.

@dandy_j Can you run sudo rfkill unblock all (from the terminal, after exiting Emulationstation) and see if you can detect the wifi networks afterwards.
Is your WiFi configured for 2.4 Ghz b/g or it's just 5Ghz ? The PI only has 2.4 Ghz capabilities.

If I am reading correctly all you need is to get emulators designed for x86 processors, mednafen for ps1 maybe? Install it same as you would mame. RetroPie’s default emulators aren’t designed for pc

OK, so reflashing the install seems to have worked. I'm not sure if the original 64gb microsd was too large, or if something else I did messed things up, but this time around I wasn't asked a second time to initialize my controller settings, and I was able to get a few minutes of Super Mario World running with the controller functioning properly.

But, thanks for the help, no wonder nobody else was having these problems.

@buzz said in (Odroid C1+)EmulationStation fails to build:

    LTS 18.04

I can't find one that supports the odroid c1+
I was installing what was recommended in the guide.
I think I'll try this one next.

Are you using an USB microSD card reader? Either way, the mounts on RetroPie are managed by usbmount, not by Kodi itself.

Im done. Im not going to change anything on my raspberry anymore. I was in PIXEL and clicked "connect to server" there i got a window that said "connect to remote server" "Specify remote folder to connect". I guess i typed something wrong there cause now i dont have internet connection anymore. And i cannot find internet on the start panel. Also i get a white line about a cm wide on the left side of the screen in PIXEL

EDIT: After reset the PIXEL discovered networks, and i managed to get it back on. Also, i managed to remove the white line on the left side by right clicking on it and delete. I hope later versions of PIXEL will make it just as easy to acces a pc network as it is for PC to access it. I have searched the web and i am astonished that not more people are asking the same questions. There is alot of topics on how to remote access the pie though.
Again, thanks for not totally flaming a illiterate-pc noob full of questions :)
