@caver01 thanks for your suggestions, I did change the theme and it helped a bit, but the main issue was my overscan settings. Uncommenting and increasing the left and right values slightly made a huge difference. Feels much more official now, lol. Thanks again.

@spykypie do you mean .7z? if so, you need to extract with a zip program (eg http://www.7-zip.org/download.html) - the files within hopefully are compatible types :)

Just one more thing on this subject...

This piece of code here...is it possible to add a image to the background? (of the actual text)....so instead of the background colour, add a background image instead?

I beat the 'white flash' anyhow.....I just created extra image elements and resized the png bg to 1280x720 (luckily it was a pixel background) and it works flawlessly now :)

Thanks for the heads up on ES, I might start a new topic regarding the change of language in ES (xxx games available).

To add to this I was able to get it connected again. It worked and I tested a couple games. I restarted the Pi and it would not work. If I shut down the pi and turn it back on, then turn the controller back on it connects. If I go to config to setup Joypad order it only shows '4' xbox controllers even though only 1 is connected. I shut down a couple more times like normal and booted up and controller connected. Now I shut down and boot the system back up and controller does not connect. Just blinks. When it does connect it will show player 1.

Still looking for some help :D

Thanks! I was saying because I heard that kawaks runs better games like King of Fighter that's why I was asking but I change the video mode for Lr-fba-next to Dmt-6 and it works much better I guess that's the One.

Thanks that worked! In my emulator on my pc I have them zipped and it works so I assumed it would be the same.

@edmaul69 Cheers mate, I'm not sure why this is though.. Most of my tinkering has been conducted with the input ID's in the default state (hashed out) and it's had no effect either way unfortunately..

I have reset them back to default (on your advice) in order to avoid any pitfalls later down the track though..

@Dorbs84 you use the audio in the vga adapter. You need to open up /boot/config.txt and remove the hashtag from this line:

#hdmi_drive=2

So it looks like this:

hdmi_drive=2

There is no gamecube or ps2 emulator for the rpi3 and it's way beyond the capabilities of the RPI.
