You can load as much as you want, but u will have a visual glitch in mune if your chossen theme miss this system, so the most completed theme i tasted out there is Supersweet them : https://github.com/RetroHursty69/es-theme-supersweet
    And uniflyered theme : https://github.com/RetroHursty69/es-theme-uniflyered

Also art book , is one of awsome classy theme which i really love and if it miss a system you have it bult to use a really cool font to look like that it's ok , and you can add any missing theme easly .

And belive me iam really have a huge collection of systems, so i always become sad when a lovely theme miss a system

@ElrasM said in False controller inputs:

But nevertheless any suggestions for my problem?

First, xboxdrv should not be installed unless you really know how to use it. It's not a real device driver, but emulates an Xbox compatible controller. The xpad is usually used for X360/Xbox controllers. If that doesn't work, then it means you're encountering the same issue.

Is there any chance that there is a seperate file for controller input detection in ES?

The configuration for EmulationStation's input is in \\retropie\configs\all\emulationstation\es_input.cfg. You can verify there that your input is mapped correctly and there are no button overlaps.

You can also start EmulationStation with the --debug flag and it will log the inputs pressed.

I've found a work around, if you are using a ps4 controller you could use the middle touch pad to "wake" raspberry pie. As i said, it is a work around but it is working :)

@mitu I do apologise, I didn't know it was against your licence but I can see why.

Thank you for your help, I will start over and hopefully it will fix my problem.

Pi4 support is ongoing and no, there's no release date. If you want to try it out, use the Manual Install method.

Thanks that must have been it, I got it to play with lr-fbneo. Buttons are all now mapped a little differently but looks like I can override that.

    Thanks for the help.

  • How to turn On/Off monitor when Raspi Pi turns On/Off

I resurrect this old thread just to add some more info for future reference. I came across this topic multiple times while searching the best way to turn on an Iot-relay, such as the one @DougA mentioned above. (My original way was to use a USB plugged into the Pi, with - & + going to the relay)

I am using an ADAfruit arcade bonnet, so some gpio pins were causing conflict with the controls.

    To test I used:

sudo su cd /sys/class/gpio echo 8 > export cd gpio8 echo out > direction echo 1 > value

To set a specific pin to turn high/low (on/off), add one of these options in /boot/config.txt

xx is the BCM number of the GPIO you want to use

    dtoverlay=gpio-poweroff,gpiopin=xx

for the default where GPIOxx will go low on boot and high after shutdown

    dtoverlay=gpio-poweroff,gpiopin=xx,active_low

to make the GPIO go high while the system is up

Adding to the /boot/config.txt allowed my Iot-relay to power on the switched outlets within 1-2 seconds of boot

You'll need to explain in further detail. It could be anything.

Are you sure you don't have an additional gamelist.xml in the ROMs folder (megadrive) ? EmulationStation will look there first and then in the gamelists/megadrive folder.

@RumblinBuffalo Thanks again - I'll look at updating retroarch shortly. Although I'm concerned after reading that thread that it will remove/reset all my IPAC keyboard controller mappings, which took me a long time to get right initially.

@bastelhannes I’m still learning the options myself, but did you check out the YouTube video in this thread?

    https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/18078/lr-vice-drive-emulation-mapping-keyboard-strokes?_=1585745137490

I’m not sure it covered all the different options, but it did touch on mapping.

Thanks for the link and yes, I went there before but somehow got stuck, as I couldn't get into those menus shown there.

However, GOOD NEWS: I got the built-in controls to work !!!
After reinstalling retroarch yesterday I was just too dumb to figure out how the buttons were assigned. Once I found out that Y is Fire and B is to confirm keyboard-signs, everything turned out OK.
I mean, I can as of now really play C64-games just with the handheld console, without any hardware keybord or external USB-controller. That was, what I was looking for!
Thanks very much for your help so far!

BUT: Now the external USB-Gamepad (SNES) won't work correctly anymore for lr-vice :(
I dont know what went wrong. All other emulators are still working just fine with both, SNES controller and built-in hardware-buttons. It's only the lr-vice where the external SNES-gamepad acts strange since yesterday. It must have something to do with me updating Retroarch yesterday.
Is there a way to re-map the USB-controller for lr-vice only, but leave all other systems untouched? And most important NOT to mess-up those built-in controls again???

    Any ideas? Please?

Thanks for noticing. The scamming site is actually using Recalbox, which is quite similar to RetroPie and has a similar license.

@dankcushions I provided the information of my raspberry unit to the best of my ability in the posts above.

I tried reinstalling. After reinstalling had to imput login information at the boot screen. Even after the update the ps1 emulator doss not respond to button presses.
