@rolvs Hum noise is usually caused by poor Ground connection or shielding on the cable. In this case the HDMI cable that was replaced.

@retrofreak89 i play about 50 doom games with brutal doom's gun n blood mod. (Forget what its called since brutal doom has map too) No real issues for most games.

/opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch.cfg - be sure to mask your retroachievements account info, if you have it on your .cfg file.

/opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch-joypads/YOUR_JOYSTICK_NAME.cfg

Paste their content in pastebin or something similar.

@arpiegamer @mediamogul has a tutorial on using the xboxdrvr to program keys to a controller. You need to use something like that or joymap to set escape and enter to your controller.

@rgs80074 It sounds like you are looking for a better scraper (for box art and potentially videos) and shaders (to take care of pixilating). Both are available.

@senthudas what eventually fixed this problem? I've got the same issue.

I use lr-fbalpha for all my NeoGeo, CPS (i put all into one CPS generic system) and any other arcade game.
You just need the v0.2.97.39 rom set and you're good. I never bothered with MAME.

There is a 25GB package out there somewhere which contains 1500+ arcade roms (NeoGeo, CPS and lot, lot more.. )(all v0.2.97.39) and a whole bunch of console games (Coleco, GameGear, MegaDrive, MasterSystem, MSX, PC-Engine, SG-1000) and screenshots and title screenshots and a complete bios package.

It's actually a really bad idea to modify a linux text config file with a rich text editor.
The best option is to use a linux text editor (vim, nano, ...), or a simple MS notepad (or better, notepad++).
You're lucky only the sound was impacted :)
