@thomen Normally, I would suggest checking RUNCOMMAND, but you mentioned you are using Attract Mode. I would have expected Attract Mode you to be explicit about which emulator gets used, meaning, you would know what emulator because you had to set it up that way.

Perhaps someone more familiar with Attract Mode can add a better answer.

@greenhawk84 you're absolutely right, apologies for the mistake. It's actually technically 4: The Revenge of Death Adder.

I've just done this with an ipac2.
You can configure player 2 in the retro arch menu (vids on you tube)
When entering the player 2 button key binds ...Check the order compared to player 1. Strong chance it will not be what you think.
Once you have done that you can quickly map your button inputs and save.

@andershp Thanks! Yeah I will explain that part in the next part of my story, but after I got the wood, I honestly worked on this thing from the moment I woke up, until the moment I went to sleep. This was during summer and I was on vacation from work and the University. I probably didn't eat much. I didn't realize you had one too until I read your signature. I'm about to check it out.

@kiphouse checking the Mupen64 documentation: http://mupen64plus.org/wiki/index.php?title=Mupen64Plus_Plugin_Parameters I think you should be able to do this, try:

      X Axis= button(0,1)
      Y Axis= button(2,3)

You will need to get your button numbers. In the settings above, button 0 is left, 1 right, 2 up and 3 down.

@codfish11 with so little info you provide, all I can say is you need to program all of your buttons. You need to read this and try again by following the advance given.

Ok I think I finally fixed it to the point where it doesn't make me angry. I decided to try someone else's config.txt as mine was cursed or something :P I went here: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/6hdpa7893c3ked1/AABCXqUHjXI-C3PUdcq4f8jya?dl=0 and downloaded the "custom_res" config. I renamed it to "config.txt", changed the resolution to 320x240, and added some custom overscan numbers. The lines are still there, but they don't affect the text and only appear on a black screen. I'm sure I could go further and 100% fix it but right now I'm happy. Whew!

Problem is this. 3rd Party images are not supported. You should ask MLP as nobody can predict the setup. Also, https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first - you dont even say what version of Mame? Reimage, post details of your setup and help becomes possible.

@glennlake Sorry if I wasn't clear. The screen is working, newer kernels support it. I just can't get it to work with the romtastick script. I was thinking something was up with the script as when you bring up the menu to choose the ILI9341 it doesn't seem to stick, thus why I looked at the json file to see if I could force it, and at least there it looked like it was set correctly.

I tried tonight with the quick install from adafruit and had the same result. I'm going to try again tomorrow with their image to see if the cause is anything that was upgraded when I updated packages during setup. Thanks for your help.

They may of gotten away with it longer if they weren't doing it in Bandai-namco's backyard.

Operating out of that abandoned amusement park probably raised a lot of suspicion too.
