    Zandronum scriptmodule has now been updated with support for registered versions of Doom, Doom 2, TNT and Plutonia wads.

    Just copy the 4 wad files to the doom roms folder in "/home/pi/RetroPie/roms/ports" before installing Zandronum.
    This will give you 4 new runcommand files to launch the games from.

    Thank you very much, it works. Now the only thing left I need to know is, can you change the deadzone amount of the left analog stick somewhere? I know you can change it in the option for ingame movements but it doesen't apply for the menu navigation and when I move up and down it often register a left or right movement and messing up my settings.

    UPDATE: Nevermind I found the settings in the config folder inside zdoom.ini

    @Solid-One So it has to be changed to specific use that commit when trying to compile Zandronum and the solution to the Raspbian Stretch might just work. Let me give it a try and see what i can come up with.

    @Solid-One That works! The Port itself doesn't seem to work very well yet, and I only have Doom Shareware as an option despite having all the WADs in place in the Doom directory. But I haven't looked at this properly yet, and the change to the location within the Script Module worked a treat. Thank you!

    @jcook84 With all my testing and dedication to getting our goal with Doom split-screen on RetroPie working, i was expecting it to run without any conflicts with other doom ports. I did not expect that a pi zero would be able to run it. Thanks to you too, you kept the idea alive.

    One thought to think of is that ReMooD might be able to run on the latest RetroPie version just like Doom Legacy, since ReMooD is an enhanced version of Doom Legacy and we know that ReMooD enables 4 player split-screen instead of Doom Legacy's 2 player split-screen mode.

    This is the way i used to get it to work. Maybe you can get it working as well. I must warn you that this is a long time ago since i last tried Brutal Doom with Zdoom on my RetroPie.

    Go to opt/retropie/configs/ports folder and create a new folder called brutaldoom.
    Copy the emulators.cfg file and the zdoom.ini file from the doom folder in the opt/retropie/configs/doom to the brutaldoom config folder. (Notice this might need sudo command in terminal)

    Paste this into the new zdoom.ini file in the brutaldoom config folder so that it will replace the original text.

    Create a folder called "brutaldoom" inside /home/RetroPie/roms/ports folder
    Download latest brutaldoom from moddb.com and extract the brutaldoom files into that brutaldoom folder

    Create a new runcommand/launch sh file and notice the commands that is meant to refer to the location of the files to launch brutaldoom.

    I use zdoom for all doom stuff. There is a wad that has a list that lets you choose which master levels wad you want to load. You just have to have all the wads in the same folder. Might work for lr-prboom too. Not sure.

    To anyone else who might come across this. I was able to fix this by updating the emulator from source. This added core options for different controller layouts and an adjustable analog deadzone.

    That's strange, on a straight RPI3 install (4.5.1) I installed the from binary and ran Tunics, it worked fine.
    If you can get the /dev/shm/runcommand.log and post its content to pastebin.com, maybe we can figure out why it's not working.

    I assume your PI is in a case, if it hasn't a heatsink on the CPU fit a tiny one if you can as airflow on most cases is abmismal leading to heat build up internally, or failing that adapt your case by drilling a few holes directly above the CPU and fit a tiny fan that is easily powered from the GPIO pins so it only comes on when the PI is on

    I have a very tall heatsink and fan and my temps don't go above about 45c

    I made the heatsink by ordering a block of 35mm tall heatsink and cutting a piece out so that it just overlaps the CPU on all sides and used heatsink glue. Heatsink pads don't work for me, unless you pay a LOT of money for top quality ones. The heatsink glue is basically heatsink paste in epoxy resin so once fitted your heatsink is never coming off unless you take the CPU with it. Also they take about 24 hours to set fully as its expoxy. It works perfectly though

    Alright then that confirms my suspicion about changes in RetroPie with Raspbian Stretch.

    Sounds good. I recently looked into the RetroPie Sonic robo blast Srb2 script and i was thinking that maybe sonic robo blast 2 which is based on Doom Legacy could provide some info on compiling Doom Legacy for SDL.

    As for Doom Legacy the closest thing i came to get it working was building/compiling for X11 window in Raspbian desktop and i could only get the Doom menu to work.

    It makes perfect sense to use Doom Legacy source port than ReMooD since it still is actively developed on.

    Other then doing controller mapping I don't think there is a way. Till someone one finds a way to get the latest zdoom + I think it is called. On retropie
