    We don't support 3rd party images and yours looks like it was customized and changed from the default RetroPie image.
    I see you have a number of services (like snapd or bt-device) which are not standard on RaspiOS and I see also an error related to CPU throttling - maybe the system boot is slow because the CPU's frequency is scaled down.
    You can use systemd-analyze how long it takes each system service to start, it may help identify which one is responsible for the slowdown.

    @boogyman062190 please add some more details about your system as outlined in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first

    Can you post the relevant log file from ~/RetroPie-Setup/logs?

    You've opened a new topic for the same issue. That's bad forum etiquette and - as mentioned before - we don't support 3rd party pre-loaded systems sold by scammers.
    Come back after you've installed the RetroPie image from https://retropie.org.uk/download.

    @jadams what platform and source (nvm I see screenscraper -- what platform and game(s)?) do you use? I just tested arcade frogger.zip on screenscraper and got a description:

    @mitu Lol, this is the way. Thank you so much. Feel so dumb for not thinking to make an issue in GitHub. I appreciate you as always, mitu!

    @KM_64 Gnome with Wayland seems to suck with Ubuntu 22.04. Any other Wayland environment does not show this problem.

    @sntpl said in Blank screen after game exit:

    Is there any logging that I can enable to see what's happening at game exit?

    Should be in the same place as regular logging (/dev/shm/runcommand.log).

    @KM_64

    I tried the retropie extras script and could never get it to work either so I used the flatpak version of citra. It’s been a while but I basically made a new system in retropie and changed my theme for the 3DS. My notes may be a little vague but here you go.

    Adding new Emu
    /etc/emulationstation/es_systems.cfg move to /opt/retropie/configs/all/emulationstation
    Change that file to add systems
    In /opt/retropie/configs/ create new system folders and add runcommand script. Basically the start command followed by %ROM%

    Here’s an example of my Xbox emu (don’t have access to my computer now to get the 3DS but should be close)

    Config Files to create
    Opt/retropie/configs/xbox emulator.cfg
    xbox = "flatpak run app.xemu.xemu -dvd_path %ROM%"
    default = "xemu"

    Opt/retropie/configs/all/emulationstation es_systems.cfg
    <system>
    <name>xbox</name>
    <fullname>XBOX</fullname>
    <path>/home/pi/RetroPie/roms/xbox</path>
    <extension>.iso .sh</extension>
    <command>/opt/retropie/supplementary/runcommand/runcommand.sh 0 _SYS_xbox %ROM%</command>
    <platform>xbox</platform>
    <theme>xbox</theme>
    </system>

    Also if you wanted to use an iPad as the bottom screen this is what I found to get it sort of working. Touch screen is ok but not perfect

    iPad as second monitor Citra
    Dual monitors using wayland and rdp on iPad logged in through ip address. Separate monitors in citra then move and resize windows.
    This is copied from a website:

    First, open a Terminal window and run: gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.remote-desktop.rdp screen-share-mode extend. This step is needed to enable extendable virtual monitors over RDP. This feature is, at present, a hidden one because this stuff isn’t polished enough for the masses to make use of yet — so be aware!
    Next, open the Settings app, navigate to the Sharing panel, and turn on Sharing, and turn on (once it appears) the ‘Remote Desktop’ option. You will want to set up a username and password too, to allow you to connect from a different device.

    If nothing else maybe it’ll get you started in the right direction. But it is possible to have citra running through emulationstation on Ubuntu 22.04. And it’s really not that hard to do.

    @DuragonArt press start and go to UI settings > transition style. I don't remember if it's "fade" or "slide" (or both) that does the zoom effect; I keep mine on "instant" and it does not zoom.

    I wanted to play in a docker container because I can't install Retropie on Debian 11, and I didn't want to buy another sd card only for testing , but It seems it will be the best way...
    Thanks for your support, best regards 🤗

    @mitu I fixed it! There was a problem with the Wi-Fi links around the house, as i was in the back room. It appears that the keyboard has a problem, so that is probably fine as I connected a ps3 controller via Bluetooth. Thank you!

    i'm wondering if the option of Installing on top of an existing OS would be possible? there are several Ubuntu instances that are supported in this manner. it's worth noting that i am not a Linux or Pi guru, so i don't quite know what the differences are between these Ubuntu options or what the difference is between the Ubuntu PC vs Ubuntu RasPi versions mean for supported software.

    Hm, the 90001 values is from an EV_MSC input, which is a button or joystick input, I don't think it needs to be mapped.
    According to this issue, the "EG Starts Arcade" kit should be supported automatically. There's even a .cfg file posted there.

    Maybe the launcher is trying to configure your keyboard instead of the controller ? Have you tried starting a MakeArcade game with only the controller kit connected ?

    If that doesn't work, you may try open an issue on @Vegz78's repo, I unfortunately have no experience with the MakeArcade setup - I just know they've been working to make this work as seamless as possible in RetroPie and other gaming oriented projects (Recalbox and Batocera).

    I wound up imaging a new memory card and just moving my roms, bios & collections over.

    What it seems like the prob was, is that when you rotate it back to 0 in the sudo nano /boot/cmdline.txt the screen default resolution wasn't doing the trick. When you go to the settings of raspi-config for screen resolution and set that to default it shifts everything to the left but doesnt stretch it all from left to right. it basically stops at the center of my computer screen.

    Anyway I would be nice to figure this out for others..

    @Legend1977 said in Issue with Insert Coin on Arcade Mode:

    @geese-howard Thanks for this, I don't suppose you know how to do this please?

    In EmulationStation, press Start and choose "configure input."

    Alternatively, begin EmulationStation with no controllers nor keyboard attached, then when it asks you to configure a controller, attach the one you want to configure.
