      @jukeltrucc

but i would like to know how to use it wirelessly lol.

I have the Xbox One controller with the headphone jack and I couldn't get it to work wirelessly.
I even have the Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows and it works great in Windows but I couldn't get it to work on my RPi3. I think it just doesn't have enough power to push this adapter but that's my guess.

I think the new Xbox One S controllers uses Bluetooth but I'm not sure if that is working either:
      https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/6198/xbox-one-controller-via-bluetooth

I actually use an official Xbox 360 controller with a generic Xbox 360 Wireless Adapter and it works amazingly well!

how do i find the driver?

In EmulationStation goto the RetroPie then...

@spruce_m00se I never tried the ds4drv, it can be the problem in Kodi.
Network connectivity is done in RetroPie scripts, it is system wide. I saw some people with problems in their networks and they fixed it changing DNSs. But again, only with the Kodi logs with debug on, we can know for sure.

@Gosenbach A good idea. The repository and contents isn't allowed to be discussed at kodi.tv - and the same here too (For the same reasons).

@josete2k BTW it's enough to just do update all installed packages. Maybe you have some wrong settings - but I cannot advise without more information - you should start a new topic for specific emulator issues providing details about setup / emulator in use and so on .

That is the way to go forward - I cannot help on an older unsupported version.

So I found out that the problem was with automount. I umount my drive and mount it again but this time in /mnt folder. I shared that folder an transfer 25gb data on external storange. Then i reboot Raspberry pie and now nothing is working. Retropie boot in Shell and i can access it through SSH. After a reboot it displays shell and says: "A start job is running for dev-sdc1.device (time)". dev/sdc1 was my External HD. I needed to delete automount command from /etc/fstab in order to boot it.

Thanks for the response. I have manged to make progress thanks to the seo-michael.co.uk link. However, now that I have 5 VPN locations configured, my connectivity is failing me. I won't say more until I've fought for a while longer. It's possible that I overcome this obstacle, too.

@217zombie101 said in How to connect to a xfinity hotspot with the raspberry pi?:

I like taking Kodi and retropie with me when I go on trips.

I can't speak to the hotspot issue, but having a web browser of some sort on the Pi for connecting to hotel openwifi will also work. Without the browser, you'll be at the mercy of calling whatever in house tech support they may have to relay your Pi's MAC address personally. Something as simple as Lynx will do.

@stino you'll need to use the sudo command to elevate to root privileges. Without sudo at the beginning, you won't have write access to the file. Also, you'll need to open this in an editor, so try sudo nano /etc/dnsmasq.conf which should open in the nano text editor for you to mess with. Remember to save when exiting with ctrl x

IE: I want the Alexa audio output to go to a Bluetooth audio device, or a directly connected 1/4" jack speaker, and all of the Kodi/RetroPie output to be pushed out through the HDMI port.

Kodi uses it's own audio settings so if you want to use the 3.5mm audio jack with Kodi, you have to go into Kodi's Audio menu and change it to your 3.5mm audio jack (or both HDMI and 3.5mm).

@Retro666 you need to learn C++ and recode emulationstation to accomplish what you are trying to do.

@dawtyne10 RetroPie won't be available in Kodi, it is the module RetroPlayer, that will become available on Kodi 18. Although they are both about retro emulation, it is a bit different, RetroPlayer will include "only" the RetroArch core emulators.
