      @sirhenrythe5th
      the pi4 with a arm cortex a73 and * TWO * videocoreIV GPUs. Comes with either 2gb or 4gb internal ram. Not really, I was trying to make a joke, not funny...

      Record of Lodoss war, no longer crashes. It is a big hunk of lag art once you get top-side, there are a lot more enemies and polygons. Still playable, (I OC'd for this one)

      Jet Grind Radio, with the option to turn off shadows in the GUI can get decent performance, but I imagine there are still those levels that run like butt.

      TimeStalkers, The analog deadzone seems to have been fixed with the latest update, as well as the connection being able sync into play, which is great, I might find some time for this one.

      @joelkolb My logitech F310 has a switch to switch from one or the other. Did a fresh remap using emulationstation and the script, and the analog stick is still unresponsive to enter settings in start reicast.

      Tagged you in my personal thread. I posted my config files.

      I am having issues as well. I tried configuring the joystick.cfg by manually mapping as instructed and I also reset my emulation station controller inputs (so it auto configures reicast) and it still didn't work. This has been an ongoing issue for years now, they should update this emulator.

      My only other alternative is to overclock my pi and pray lr-flycast performs better. Otherwise, I am stuck.

      I’m about to build a gun4ir in the next weeks in hopes to have a satisfactory gun for it.

      @XD3l
      I think it is opengl support, while the graphics device may have opengl 3.3 capability the drivers and support from intel make it null. The same is reflected in linux. There is a OpenGL2 workaround in the second link, I haven't tried this yet.

      @Efriim Hello and welcome to the RetroPie forums.

      I don't play N64 so I can't say what exactly is the best choice here, the recommendation is usually to use the standalone emulator for best performance and even so not all games are playable. In general, N64 emulation on a Pi is not ideal - other may provide better answers to this question.

      The standalone pcsx_rearmed is no longer developed, use lr-pcsx_rearmed which is better supported.

      It's not a bug, it's how the Sony drivers work and it's the OS/kernal that handles this. Register 'both' controllers (wired and wireless) and they should work depending on how you connect them.

      There is a recent topic about Dreamcast games and their performance after the latest update - https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/21031. I don't use the emulator so much, so others may have a better response.

      RetroPie uses whatever Raspbian's default is - so /tmp is mounted on the sdcard and not using the RAM (as most Linux PC distributions do). I assume it's because of the limited RAM memory available on such systems. RetroPie does not have any preferences here, so you can use whatever solution you like best.

      Every emulator will use the GPU - directly or indirectly - otherwise they wouldn't be able to output anything on the screen :). I don't see why it shouldn't be possible to run a music player in the background, there's no limitation imposed by RetroPie - remember that the Pi image is just a Rasbpian Lite installation, almost unchanged from upstream.

      @drewjbx why dont you create a second config file for players 3-4 with the buttons slightly remapped? Probably could use the coin button as start or something?

      Edit:how often are both triggers used in game?

      It looks like this is fixed for me. I didn't do anything special. Just waited some time and then updated the lr-reicast package via the RetroPie Setup script, and lr-reicast is working again. Thanks to the developer(s)!

      @George-Spiggott said in New Amiberry relese and Libretro Reicast update:

      Is it possible to install it on Retropie?

      Through the retropie scripts i don't know, but you can build it the official way :

      git clone https://github.com/libretro/reicast-emulator.git
      cd reicast-emulator
      make platform=rpi3

      After that you'll have to edit your emulationstation configuration to make use of the reicast_libretro.so you just created.

      I had a feeling that would be the case. I'll see if I can get the compatibility list updated and wait for Pi4.

      Just to confirm that it isn't the ROM has anyone else managed to replicate this or got the game to run properly on a different emulation setup?

      [edit] Panzer Front works just fine on the latest update of Reicast.

      @melbmatt50 https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/364/every-time-i-play-dreamcast-displays-the-setting-screen-time-date

      There is a step by step in that thread to fix the date and time issue. It worked for me. I'm not sure if it still works with the latest version of retro pie however so use at your own risk. I'd recommend backing up your image first.

      @menace23 are you going to the retropie setup script, manage packages, optional, reicast, configure/tools menu then input configuration? That’s the way I did it and it worked.
