@quicksilver I love this game! I was kinda bummed that they didn't include this on the TurboGrafix Mini, especially since I don't believe it was even ported to another console. When I first got into RetroPie, one of the first things I did was beat the Quest mode. It took like three or four months! I'm planning on streaming the Quest mode on my Twitch stream, FYI. I want to find a better way to stream it first but it will definitely happen!

@colstar since that's not the version of any of our recommended arcade emulators in my previous link (or indeed any of the supported arcade emulators in retropie at all), i would forget it and acquire the set for one of them instead.

Also i have found out i needed to update all emulators from within Retropie-setup. i seems the achievements normally only work with the latest versions of the emulators.

@iamoasis said in Double Dragon (MAME):

some spreadsheets that show games that have been tested on different emulators

Some entries in those spreadsheets are wrong though, because some of the testers didn't follow the "pick an emulator then pick the right romsets for that emulator" rule.

@grzzlybr said in ROMs do not launch:

@mitu True, although obviously many people have it running fine from a desktop session (I did before these issues).

Sure, but that's not a configuration that's tested and supported.

I have just tried running RetroPie from boot and it seems to be working fine with local ROMs, but not with ROMs using symlinks (which were working fine before). So I guess that's one issue (sort of) solved and another found!

Can you add more details - and possibly the log file asked earlier, not that Runcommand should be working again ?

      I got it working!
I previously disabled the runcommand launch menu, so I re-enabled it.
Then, choosing the lowest resolution provided by @quicksilver, it works!

      Thank you guys!!

@cyperghost My overall goal is to make a pacman & donkey kong machine that has a power button (on/off that saves the current state), and a button that switches games seamlessly (because currently it has to wait for the games to load each time) and hopefully a way to have the credits transfer between games.

Mystic Mine is a Python game included in RetroPie. You can find it in the Experimental packages. I strongly recommend you to study how this game is programmed as it runs very well on the Raspberry Pi.

The scriptmodule that installs and configures this game in RetroPie is here: https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/blob/master/scriptmodules/ports/mysticmine.sh

Ok, so I found all the emulators in Retropie Setup under Manage Packages and I installed Frotz which I was immediately able to play Zork on. I still wanted to figure out my original problem though, so I changed my emulator to CapriceRPI (I was actually on lr-caprice32 before). But now, whenever I enter CAT or any command to play the game, it says:
      Drive A: disc missing
So my original problem is still unsolved but at least I can now play Zork and I know how to mess with the emulators.

@SmackAttack86 Please add more info about your system, as requested in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first.

EDIT: make sure the usbromservice is installed, on a PC is no longer installed automatically, you need to install it first from the optional packages section.

Have you got legit ROM files like from Amiga forever and include the rom.key file as well.

Also check your kickstart rom oath matches where your rims are and do a re-scan for Roms

My systems? The post is simply asking if there is a way to add an image to a .bin file to act as a thumbnail on a selection screen. Itโ€™s not a systems related post.

@Mebejedi Well, in lr-mame2010, after you insert a coin, the screen is cleared of the demo, then you can move the ship at the top left or right and fire depth charges left or right, while a sonar sound effect is played and submarines move about below.
