      FYI
      Other MIX Template is downloadable from the menu configuration.
      You can create you own MIX template ( https://github.com/Universal-Rom-Tools/Universal-XML-Scraper/wiki/[TUTO]-Making-a-MIX-Template) And if you want PR them to the github repository ;)

      An update: I had time to play with the code this morning. It compiled and linked and I'm currently scraping my roms. It is slow but probably no slower than if you use a single thread and don't pass -thumb_only with my scraper standalone. Since it is downloading the full image then resizing and bandwidth is my bottle neck right now.

      The code needs a ton of clean up and review from people who know how to write C but looks promising.

      @Xanathar Awesome!

      When I first started with Retropie thegamesdb.net went down for a day... then a couple days... then a week. Turns out their hosting service cut them off for excessive sessions without any warnings so they have to raise enough $$ to pay for a dedicated servers.

      The service does go down from time to time as well, so it's not uncommon to see what you are seeing. That's part of why I still scrape from the command line: scraper -append -thumbs_only once you are in the correct roms directory will update any new roms in that directory.

      The default source (thegamesdb) had great coverage of boxart so that was the default. If you want to do something else you can use something like -console_img="s,b" to use a screen shot if it exists then fall back to box art, etc.

      Or you can do as @columboscoat mentioned and you have access to a windows machine you can try UXS. It uses ScreenScraper which is available in my script (-use_gdb=false -use_ss) but it also has some other neat image options.

      You need to go back and delete the gamelist files from every console. They'll most likely be red. Hit F8 on each one from each console and confirm the delete. Reboot the emu station and re scrape all the games. I suggest scraping from the archive. I believe the files are .xml files

      @tonberryhunter Yes you can edit game info and add cover art. You do have to wait for edits to be approved though

      Great thanks, Will definitely try the Steven Selph's Scraper and hopefully it will fill in the missing meta data from the ES scraper.

      @Lyle_JP
      But the MAME files have a well defined and unique filename, as far as I know. So hashing would not be needed. You could say the filename itself is the hash.

      @BuZz
      Oh, thanks for the info!

      Seems like this is just a bad time for scraping MAME. I am hoping that it is getting better soon! Summoning Sselph for the rescue! ;)
