      @buzz It's back up and running at normal speeds, it was down for a couple days. I know no one here can do anything about it, but I was more asking to get confirmation if it was only me experiencing the issue or not. Thank you nonetheless.

      @chipsnblip said in Savestates save slowly:

      avestate_directory = "/home/pi/RetroPie/SaveS

      I thought of this solution but I also use the hard drive on PC with Retroarch. It's helpful to have the savestates in the same folder as the rom! ;)

      FYI
      Other MIX Template is downloadable from the menu configuration.
      You can create you own MIX template ( https://github.com/Universal-Rom-Tools/Universal-XML-Scraper/wiki/[TUTO]-Making-a-MIX-Template) And if you want PR them to the github repository ;)

      Bringing back a dead thread. Has anyone had more luck with using a Zero or Zero W for RetroPie? I want to get a second Pi for gaming, the one I have has been turned into an openHAB box, so I was looking for a cheap way to do it. I would have to dl the new RetroPie as the one I have is over a year old and has been sitting on a stored away microSD card for over a year.

      I would like to play PSX games if possible, so I might have to get a pi3, but if I can do it on a Zero, that would be great. We will be mostly playing 16-bit and older games.

      I also haven't used a Zero for anything yet, just a couple pi3's, so if there are any other issues with them, please let me know.

      @ND Thanks for using my Vine to demonstrate. I was using the Pi2 at the time I filmed the Tobal2 Vine (English patched version btw). And I recall that this was using unfiltered textures. But it ran fantastic given the fact that the game itself ran in Hi-Res and 60hz.

      I just upgraded to a Pi3 courtesy of the missus and so was quite surprised to see your video running the game slow on Pi3. But glad to see it's been sorted so I'm keen to play this again soon. 😀

      Ok. Well, the SNES emulator should be able to run on a Pi3 easily enough. The best example I can give is Super Mario World Allstars + World. But generally, I imagine that the Pi3 should be able to run the SNES emulator without problems. I wonder if my RaspiATX card that controls the power is draining too much juice from the Pi3 thus reducing performance. Is that a possibility? I do have the switch that controls the pi from the board as an LED switch... ie it uses electricity as well.

      @laephis I had a issue were my tv would only use pal 50hz even when I ran a usa nes rom .... Hence I had stuttering and slowdown try a pal game see if that runs fine if so that's your issue. I had to change the .config to force my tv to find 60hz maybe this is the same issue.

      ^^^^^ issue solved I speak through my hoop

      Thank you very much!
