@CoffeeOwl88 I know this is an old post, but I was also having the same issue.

Changing the over_voltage to 2 is what solved it for me.

@JimmyFromTheBay This has absolutely nothing to do with me since I don't use this emulator.

I just wanted to throw a "thank you" in here though for posting the answer to your own question after you found it. Google searches bring people here sometimes to find answers to the same problems they may be having and it's frustrating to see nothing entered or, worse, "I found it. I'm good."... then no explanation.

    Thanks from the future! šŸ˜€

EDIT Solved I have disabled and removed the kbdrate service from sytemd. I have then recreated and enabled it again and I no longer get any errors and my U-HID works as desired.

    Thank you very much again.

@mitu said in Set keyboard repeat delay:

That's because there's no such file, kbdrate is located at /sbin/kbdrate.

Thank you very much, I was trying to find the correct route, but there was no way.

Now the operation is as desired, the replay problem in the console and in the SDLPOP port has been solved. I have to test the rest.

The funny thing is that despite working, it still gives me an error at the start of kbdrate

    @mitu said in lr-mame & lr-mess binaries:

Latest commit on the upstream repository is from May, 27 - I think the binaries are pretty close to the 'lastest version'. You can check when the binary was built and from which commit, just to compare with the upstream repo (https://github.com/libretro/mame).

Ah, I see that now. Looks like they're dealing with one heck of a pull request. I'll keep an eye on the upstream repo. Cheers, and thanks!

I've managed to get somewhere with this. I was looking at the rom history on another website and it seems the dip switch function is broken in the driver. The workaround is to make the changes in service mode. I have tried this and can verify that it works. Changing them from the mame menu would be better, but as its usually only a one-off change, I'll live with it.

@iss05e said in Amiberry - no sound through headphone jack:

The previous version of Amiberry inherited the Audio options set in RetroPie. I guess Amiberry v5.3 no longer does this.

It didn't, it was just a concidence that it worked. It probably just used the 'default' (which is set via the RetroPie audio settings).

I wanted update the manual way for anyone who needs to fix this in the future.

To run the script file you need to ```
    sudo bash ~/RetroPie-Setup/retropie_setup.sh

Once the script runs 1. Manage packages 2. Manage core packages 3. retropie menu 4. update from binary If your missing the RetroPie-Setup directory, sorry you're going to have to reinstall. Hope that helps someone!

    please~~
    My host is Piboy DMG,
I want to connect two external joysticks, Play1 + Play2,
But I want Piboy DMG built-in joystick and external Play1 joystick to control Play1 together,The Play2 is another Play2 joystick, the joystick is PS1 specification.

Because when I set up the two joysticks, I also set the "Combo" button, the Play1/2 joysticks can be sure to combo, but the built-in joystick of Piboy DMG can be controlled but cannot be combo.

    Ths.^^

@psun03 In addition to what @sleve_mcdichael said, you can see the name and location of the remap file in the log:

... [INFO] [Remaps]: remap directory: /opt/retropie/configs/arcade/ [INFO] [Remaps]: game-specific remap found at /opt/retropie/configs/arcade/MAME 2016/tokyowar.rmp. ...

@tribunal88 I have a pi 3 in that case, and I've had it on for days at a time. As long as you aren't blocking the ventilation so they Pi can breathe, the fan alone should be fine.

    @mitu

right, cracked it, everything is working as far as RetroPi is concerned.

Looking really closely, as I held down a HID button the word "keyboard" very very briefly appears.

Clearly, I was working too late the other night, I can scroll up and down a menu with my HID keyboard, I was sure I had tested that, but the output is erratic sometimes the keypress happens as I am releasing the key, sometimes a press registers as many discrete keypresses. so I think the code I am running on the pico is not cleanly emulating how a real keyboard handles button presses.

the log output from Debug didn't contain any mention of controller config, so I guess there were no errors there? all I saw was a long list telling me there were no ROM's for any emulators, and then a "cleanly shut down" message.

I'm now happy the issue is in my HID. going to find an actual keyboard project using python, and reprogramme my Pico.

Thanks so much for your help @mitu

@adnifty said in Can't load save file - "Loading Task Failed" when hitting select+left Bumper:

On save state corruption/empty, how would I check that? This isn't happening with other games, so I bet this is the case.

The save state file is a .state file in the same folder as the ROM (file name is the same as your ROM file). You can either overwrite it by doing another save or just remove the file.
