If I'm not mistaked, the Pi Zero W is already clocked at 1Ghz, so your overclock will not considerably improve the system's performance.
For GBA, use lr-gpsp or gpsp as emulators, for SNES, use pisnes as emulator - this should get perform better on the Pi Zero W.

@bluestang On the Amiberry front, worried I'd have to go off and compile the binary and fiddle around with symlinks and that kind of thing. Turns out, just reinstalling automatically builds the SDL2 version.

Screen tearing I was seeing in Redream seems to be eliminated! Gonna test out Flycast some more too to see if performance has improved.

@hsus I doubt it, and why update if everything works as you would like? I haven’t updated my builds in a year or so. Too afraid some game (especially arcade) may just stop working.

@unknown that makes sense. you would have had the 64-bit kernel with the 32-bit userland, confusing things.

So, i am not sure what happened. Like i said i made a hotkey for the fast forward button in the retroarch settings. After running games from other systems i was running into all kinds of problems, and had to restore my image, thanks for the input.

First, try to update the ir-pcsx-rearmed core and check again . instructions:https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Updating-RetroPie/.

If after the update the problem is still there, follow this steps:

To disable the multitap:

Open the RetroArch menu while the game is running and from the options, enable the Show other input settings.
After that, restart the game and open again the RetroArch menu and from the options set to off the Mutitap1 and Multitap2 and you are ready.

Got it fixed. Had to use a keyboard to accept the "Yes or No" prompt when on other versions I have been able to put the PS4 controller into pairing mode and then reconnected it, select it, and then hit "Yes or No". Working now, Thank you!

@dreamcastkid Found it! This works completely. It was a MOTD thing. This will get rid of all of that text.

Use command touch ~/.hushlogin

then navigate to the login script
sudo nano /etc/pam.d/login script
#hashtag out the following:
session optional pam_lastlog.so
session optional pam_motd.so motd=/run/motd.dynamic
session optional pam_motd.so noupdate

then navigate to the autologin.conf
sudo nano /etc/systemd/system/getty@tty1.service.d/autologin.conf
Change ExecStart located at [Service] from:
ExecStart=-/sbin/agetty --autologin pi --noclear %I $TERM
To:
ExecStart=-/sbin/agetty --skip-login --noclear --noissue --login-options "-f pi" %I $TERM

Now I am completely rid of any startup text.

As you can see, people are trying to help but having to guess at how you've configured your setup and how you're running the game, and with what emulator. If you can give us more information it will enable us to assist better.

like i said, you don't need to create a game-options file in lr-fbneo if these are dipswitch settings, as it will create unique entries for every game in the global /all/retroarch-core-options.cfg, so just change the setting and it will save automatically.

@mitu thanks for the codeblocks sugerence i never ear about it.
In raspberry 3 retroflag cases if you use default script if you push power button it shutdown the pi and reset button reboot it.
With this code the power button, shutdown the pi saving changes and the reset button restart only emulationstation if you are in main menu, or exit game if you are in a game.

I checked pins and are the same but i dont know why in pi4 you push the button and the pi do nothing 😟
