Thanks, this did the job.
I cleaned the D64 files and put the T64 files onto "new" D64 disks. Now they all run like expected .
I even exported some files from the d64 into PRG files. They also auto run, but they only show RUN. This takes away some of the nostalgia.

@spanishsnowman 1.5.0 is the retroarch version and was released in 2017. I wouldn't waste my time troubleshooting that.

Also please upload a full build log to a pastebin site. Logs can be found in the logs folder under RetroPie-Setup

@comegetsome sdltrs has been recently updated and it should be available on the Pi4 again. Just update your RetroPie-Setup script and then you can install it.

I just pop in and out of UI modes. You can toggle the "hidden" flag on entries to hide them from kiosk/kid UI mode. By default, if you hide every entry in a system then ES will hide the system in the carousel.

@BuZz Built in ports work as expected. For anyone else with the issue it's the hub (or the way retroarch handles hubs). Not the end of the world, just would have been nice as the ports are numbered 1-5 for those to match up with the players. I may try 2 of the same controller now to see how that affects it.

@kennyp55 We don't support pre-loaded systems or 3rd party images. Start with the image from retropie.org.uk/download and follow the instructions to install it - it's all in the Docs.

@retropieuser555 I don’t have that camera bug. I remember reading a couple threads about that either here or on reddit. I can’t remember if there was a fix or not.

Aside from the buzzing noise, the only “problem” I have is the resetting. After about 20-30 minutes of playing it gets laggy and then crashes.

@dankcushions I just played through the entire first mission without it crashing. This definitely fixed the problem. Thanks a lot!

This doesn't look like a typical RetroPie installation - what version of RetroPie do you have installed ?
You may have ran out of disc space on the sdcard, you can check that by exiting EmulationStation and looking at the welcome message.

@UnknownMK I'm using an Alan-1 repro yoke and adapter with a Pi3B+. I'm successfully running Star Wars and Empire Strikes Back at 100%, no slowdown or audio issues using Advmame 3.9. My biggest problem was the 'deadzone' but with some help I eventually managed to get rid of it. Have a look at my other posts for some pointers. One thing though that I'd recommend is to flash the adapter with the latest firmware available on the Alan-1 page. Use the 'windows' version as this has no deadzone, the Linux/Retropie version has 10% built in.

I'm having issues with Return of the Jedi, it was dropping frames and tearing on Advmame 3.9 so I'm experimenting with mame2003 and mame2003-plus for that. I haven't tried any of the other titles you mentioned although a fellow user @wstanek has.

If the SDcard is removable, all they have to provide is a new image file and you can write it on the SDcard - I don't see why you'd need to get a new SD card.
