AFAIK deleting ROM from ES just delete the file, it doesn't clean gamelist.xml or downloaded images.
Maybe a feature request could be a good idea ?

@cerealspiller you could try to manually do it in /opt/retropie/configs/psx/retroarch.cfg

Feel free to delete .. figured it out on my own. The roms in question were in folders. Took them out of the folder and all is good.

At least I got it working now. There is a big bust with some repository on kodi and it's hard to get some apps now. some even got shut down.

well it worked now. Installed it manually over the terminal with the RetroPie script specific options. Thanks for the clue @herb_fargus 😁
