      @daeks Interesting. I missed that line in your config (must've skim read past it) but it kinda makes sense. No idea why it was forcing the hotkeys to js1 though when you only had the 8bitdo connected as js0. I don't remember my config being picky like that when I setup my n64 to USB adapter for glupen

      @Solid-One

      I did actually. It's not too bad but I didn't want to switch to it at this point because of a couple of reasons:

      For some reason it picks up my old save file on my external drive rather than my actual backed up saves on the SD card.

      It messes up my controls, the buttons are wrong (though I could change this if I wanted).

      Performance was really very nice on 4.0.2 with GlideN64 and I don't see a need to swap unless it is being deprecated by the devs here.

      I'm quite happy to stay on 4.0.2 for the time being, but I was happy also to try out 4.1.3 and see the progress being made. :)

      Add me to that too. Just wanted to say thanks to Loganmc10 for the absolutely amazing work done on N64 for the Pi! I'm still on 4.0.2 and that is fantastic, so to hear it's even better with the latest update is just incredible.

      @backstander just to make sure we're not having miscommunication, you're using multiple controllers at once? The hid quirk seemed to have no affect....

      @Fourthlaw said in Quick question about installed emulators (I hope):

      I'm installing all optional cores from source. If that doesn't work, I might just start over from a fresh image.

      I shouldn't think you want to do that.

      Please provide more information - see https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first (I don't know what version of RetroPie you are running, or even which hardware you are running it on etc).

      @nickes5

      How do I do that

      https://github.com/retropie/retropie-setup/wiki/First-Installation#installing-additional-emulators--ports

      I have reimaged the sd card multiple times

      It could be that your arcade controls aren't directly supported. What exactly are you using and have you been able to get other controls to work?

      @erlloyd said in Native N64 save sometimes .fla:

      Is there a way to configure lr-mupen64plus to use glide64 for video emulation?

      No, but 'lr-GLupeN64' uses glide64. However, you'll be sacrificing the performance you get from the standalone 'Mupen64plus'.

      Mupen64 don't set language. Normaly they are in the rom and you can select theme directly in the game.

      It looks like you are referring to retroarch.cfg based controller configs (to generate those I'd let ES do it, not the manual way it looks like you have.)

      Also, you can see here that the emulator you are using wont use those config files:

      I ran into the same issues as described here. The following steps resolved my problems:

      Step 1: autoconfigure your joypads once by starting mupen53plus while having all controllers connected properly Step 2: in opt/retropie/configs/all/autoconfig.cfg -> Disable N64 Hotkey here (this was my biggest catch because it is in the all directory!) Step 3: in opt/retropie/configs/N64/mupen64plus.cfg -> assign the hotkeys and put the mode of all registered joypads from 2 to 0
      After this it seems to work for me without any problems. So I hope it helps.

      PS: I believe that the WIKI should be updated with Step 1, this is such a catch when trying to follow the WIKI N64 instructions.
