      I don't get it. Which GUI do you mean, EmulationStation, RetroArch or what? And why should it be toggle able? If it's for EmulationStation, why not split the roms into the different systems?

      @frodriguez puedes usar google translate para traducir tus preguntas y también las respuestas.

      También quiero eliminar el inicio de sesión con contraseña. No puedo probar ahora porque tuve que desarmar la caja que estoy construyendo, pero hice esta nota cuando alguien más hizo la misma pregunta antes:

      Autologin:

      at command prompt, type sudo raspi-config select option 3 in menu (Boot Options) select option B1 (Desktopp/CLI) select option B2 (Console Autologin)
      Then Ok, exit all the way and restart.

      pruébalo y dime si funciona.

      Where and how do I enabling that, and what does that do?

      The Run-ahead feature gives you the option of removing inherent frames of latency that are built in to every game past the Atari 2600. Each game can have different amount, but as mentioned above, there will always be at least one frame. Removing more frames than what is required can lead to visual and game play anomalies, such as a 'Game Over' screen appearing for as little as one frame when you haven't died. Even when anomalies aren't noticed, the timing of the game's progression is being changed to be more forgiving, making it similar to cheating with a Game Genie code. If you're looking to enable it just for the NES, you can add the following lines to /opt/retropie/configs/nes/retroarch.cfg above the #include line.

      run_ahead_enabled = "true" run_ahead_frames = "1" run_ahead_secondary_instance = "true"

      Thank you for the information! I'll try this when I get back from work, and only use run_ahead_frames = "1" instead of 2 ^^

      Fixed: I downloaded Satan Paint (spaint.exe) and dos4gw.exe (to run spaint.exe under DOS). I used DOSBox to run spaint.exe and I created the .pcx (blank image) that were missing in the icons.spe file (from the nums0016.pcx to the nums0045.pcx), so I created a new icons.spe file and now it works correctly .
      Here is the modified icons.spe file to work: https://github.com/Xenoveritas/abuse/files/2264348/icons.zip

      @thejester Don't enable config save on exit' in RetroArch, it usually messes up your controls. Instead, configure the gamepad in Emulationstation and if you want to fine tune your controls, then use the RGUI to re-map the controller and choose Core Remapping menu to save it per core or game/rom.
      Also, when you have a problem unrelated to the topic at hand, don't just hijack it with your questions/problems, just open a new topic instead.

      @TheDataCereal This is probably the easiest method so far. Do you know what a proper m3u file should look like and how the file should be named so the emulator recognizes it?

      While that's the easiest, I still think this could be much more user friendly. Not knocking your suggestions at all, but as any classic American infomercial would say, "There's gotta be a better way!"

      @azsorlex26 Each package exposes a standard set of commands to be executed - sources, build, install, remove, configure. Most packages have these options, there might be packages with special functions.
      Look at https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/blob/master/scriptmodules/packages.sh#L55 and https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/blob/bfaedb92cb86335b7fec34d23fb39890455ae05f/scriptmodules/packages.sh#L162 to see how the retropie_packages.sh script works.

      @dudleydes I realized that I had disabled controller 2 and 3 and when enabling them mouse is now also enabled by default.

      By default mine was set to;
      CONTROLLER_MOUSE_1=mouse
      CONTROLLER_MOUSE_2=joy2

      The one on Amiberry github is set to;
      CONTROLLER_MOUSE_1=joy1
      CONTROLLER_MOUSE_2=joy2

      I had to set Mouse to my joypad (wireless ps4 joypad) to my mouseport, and also declare to Amiberry that its a mouse.

      @mediamogul said in Restore retropie-Kodi manually backup?:

      userdata

      I'll give it a try and see what happens. But right now i'm having trouble with virtual box for using linux doesnt want to see my sd card to micro sd, I tried micro sd to usb. Virtualbox is very picky, it wants extra payment license for usb 2 n 3.0. very awkward situation.

      Update, everything is mostly good. Dam its hard for me to setup ps3 controllers on retropie, it was easier on Jessie. I hope I don't mess up the controller pairing. Now I can backup one last time for safety, feels great. Last thing to do Mame delete some roms, and figure out roms sets editior, I know its documented here. I haven't done the games, but that should be really easy to do next.
