      @naLnoc Skyscraper or Skraper are good options, ARRM also works nicely.

      @sohailoo Thanks for the info.

      For metadata, you will need to install Selph's scraper from the setup script. Once done, then exit ES and run the following command from the terminal or a SSH session:

      cd RetroPie/roms/psx /opt/retropie/supplementary/scraper/scraper -img_format=png -image_dir="./boxart" -image_path="./boxart" -download_images=false -image_suffix="" -marquee_dir="./wheel" -marquee_path="./wheel" -download_marquees=false -marquee_suffix="" -video_dir="./snap" -video_path="./snap" -download_videos=false -video_suffix=""

      The above is an example for creating a gamelist XML for Playstation (PSX). For the other systems, the working directory needs to be changed with a command such as cd ../snes/ before running the scraper.

      For arcade roms, remember to include the -mame parameter in the scraper command.

      PROBLEM RESOLVED!

      I tried a full reinstall (I uninstalled Amiberry, rebooted, deleted all remaining config files, rebooted, reinstalled Amiberry from source) and this solved the problem. All my games (so far) now load with their verbose filenames. It even solved some, but not all, of my problems with games giving "Volume DH0 is write protected" as an error.

      Thanks for all the help.

      @RyanT Please give more details about your setup - https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first. What game/system are you trying to scrape and it's not working ? Give me a concrete example.

      @mitu thanks, but i think i'll stick with gamesdb. The systems supported by the scraper provided with emulationstaion in retropieare listed in its GitHub page.

      An alternative may be Skraper; it's avaiable for Windows and linux, but it's still an alpha and for the latter it is required WINE.

      That's a very nice trick. Until now, I was under the impression that AdvanceMAME was the only arcade emulator where the BIOS files and clones could reside away from a main ROM grouping. Thanks for sharing this.

      Not sure what OS you're using but the default location is configs\all\emulationstation\downloaded_images[system_name] and you can remove them from there

      For example: if I were to do this from my Windows machine I would open Windows explorer and browse the RETROPIE computer shown with the other computers attached to my network and then browse the above address. Then sort the folder contents by filetype and delete the unwanted video files

      @trailjacker I personally don't know a lot about scrapers. I usually use sselph's scraper and then manually add videos on my own, though I'm using an old version of the scraper.

      Sorry I'm not more helpful here - maybe a separate thread with that particular question may help?
