@notthesame i got a fix which works, i use a m30 and Start and B and than plug in this is for Dinput for standalone emulators and will keep gamepad active and i can now set out.

This should work for any other 8bitdo

@kiro i guess he is talking about the "midnight commander", which is included in the retropie-image.

You can rename files there by marking a file and hitting "F6" for "move file / rename file".
If you want to rename the file you have to enter the whole path+new filename (which doesnt speed up the renaming very well ;) )

@mitu Yes and I know what I did wrong. The Game itself was really a folder, with the file that launched it needing to be favorited and renamed the name of the game. For example My Kingmaker folder had a file called LaunchHere.bat to run and that is what had to be clicked to run. However, that was the file that needed to be favorited, not the Kingmaker folder game itself. My bad. :D Thank you all anyway!! SOLVED

@windg I did some more testing, and find out that most of the chds still work (Tekken, Wipeout, Tomb Raider, both with lr-pcsx-rearmed and with lr-duckstation), but Jumping Flash! does not work nor with lr-pcsx-rearmed neither with lr-duckstation. I guess there is something specific with this game, but that still puzzles me because it was working before...

On my "new" VM40B retropie setup (Ubuntu 22.04-1) now also obtain this issue......... workaround also here to modify the controller cfg to obtain RGUI open whit HOTKEY+SELECT button instead using HOTKEY + Nord Button :)

Ah okay, so then what I tried is simply not possible then for this game in that emulator like that. Fully explained and understood now. Thanks! 👍

mmmm.. using a old version of lts it's not best idea for me. For absurd i have installed OS recently on this miniPC :)

You're probably low on RAM - on an 64bit PC I thin you need at least 8Gb (if not more) to compile current MAME.

mmmm also here.... my actually miniPC as only 4GB of ram DDR3. i can limit the usage of build in some mode (problably on future i can't build future version or update thru retropie-setup but but it's better than nothing) ?

ES power saving modes only work within the front-end, they don't have any effect on the system.
What you may encounter is the WiFi adapter going into power save and disconnecting. Try running

sudo iwconfig wlan0 power off

and see if the WiFi stays on. If that solves the issue, add the command to the start-up sequence so it's run every time the system boots.

The issue seems to be specific to RetroArch, standalone emu like ReDream look both sharper and don't have screen tearing.

In RetroArch.cfg i've already set the following to no avail:

video_refresh_rate = "50.000000" video_vsync = "true"

The Libretro doc page on Caprice32 is pretty extensive - did you look into it ?

@max I do confirm since Amiberry 5.x the KickStart roms must go to:

/home/pi/RetroPie/BIOS/amiga

Thanks for pointing that out. Amiberry's documentation has been updated accordingly. KickStart names don't matter any longer as I explained in that other post.

Remove the quotes.

I'm not sure if the instructions in the RetroPie doc are wrong or something has changed recently, but that fix worked for me.

@mitu Problem solved. As I suspected, it was something stupid that I was doing that simply wasn't making its way across in communication.

I thought pressing [F4] just quit the controller config and would take me to ES. I didn't realize it was that which was kicking me to the CLI. facepalm

@mitu Thanks! I will try out to update and if it ruins everything, switch to a newer OS then.

I am using the latest RetroPie 4.8.2 and all psp games are working here.
