    Okay so I figured out what was going on. I had two micro-usb cords, one was connected to my RaspberryPi and one to my laptop. The issue was with my micro-usb to the RaspberryPi, it was powering the Teensy LC but not reading it.

    I switched the cords and it started working on the RaspberryPi.

    You can imagine how frustrated I was, given I am new to all this.

    Thanks for your help Mitu!

    Hi guys.

    Thank you very much for your help. Finally, I could configure the 8bitdo m30 bluetooth gamepad for Retropie 4.6 but I have a problem. I need to configure the gamepad everytime I turn on the Raspberry Pi 4 model b with 2 GB because I can't pair the gamepad with Retropie when I turn on the Pi.

    I test several buttoms configurations: "Start" 2 seconds + "Select" 3 seconds, "Start" 2 seconds + "Pair" 3 seconds,... but it didn't function at all. There is any special buttom combination that I should press to pair my gamepad with Retropie when I turn on the Pi?

    Kind regards.

    @retrogaming
    Back then , to save your progress in a ps1 game it was necessary to use a memorycard. So is normal if the game searching for one when you chose to save your game. Of course you don't need a actual memorycard, the all process is virtualized.

    So when you want to save from the game, select the memorycard and chose to save. You can find the save file in the game folder, it will be something like this :
    Final Fantasy VII.srm.

    @stoo said in Gauntlet and Gauntlet 2 on lr-fbneo possible bug:

    Are there titles that don't work with it?

    Yeah there are, i don't have a full list but i can mention some :

    sega system 24 (you found this one) and probably any other arcade systems using several m68k sega system 18 and megadrive (m68k worked differently on those systems, so you need another version of cyclone which apparently wouldn't work with "normal" 68k games) some neogeo games in mvs/unibios, they seem to work with aes though

    @mitu I added:

    hdmi_ignore_edid=0xa5000080

    to the config.txt in the boot partition, just above

    #config_hdmi_boost=4

    on line #35.

    That seems to do the trick. Excellent, thank you.

    We don't support 3rd party images - as outlined in the https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first. Ask the vendor for support or install the image from retropie.org.uk/download.

    @mitu thanks for the reply! I don't think there's any way to change the pairing setting on the wired controller. The manual is pretty sparse. The button below the B button is actually the Home button and I have it set to the hotkey currently it's just awkward to use with some of the combinations.

    I'll have to give the xpad a whirl. I think I managed a work to make it work by manually editing the appropriate .cfg in the retroarch-joypads folder (the same way I set the toggle fast forward to work across all of the retroarch emulators). But I haven't yet added any games to see if it works. I'll report back with my findings.

    I added these two lines:

    input_l2_axis = "+2" input_r2_axis = "+5"

    adding this line:

    input_toggle_fast_forward_axis = "+5"

    works to toggle fast forward so I think it will work to make the triggers function. I've got to track down a PS1 game that uses L2/R2 to see if my solution worked. I'll try the driver on another build as it's always good to have multiple working solutions.

    @crash21 Yes, it should be possible, though it's not a single line change. EmulationStation's source code is up on Github, at https://github.com/retropie/emulationstation/.

    @PUME04 lol no problem, you may want to google "Retropie CRT edition" I've been using that with a pi 3 and a vga666 into a vga to component transcoder .. yes you will spend a bit more money but it works so well ,, but you can not do 480i ,, but its set up to handle all the wacky arcade resolutions per game all done from a config file.

    this is the transcoder .. well hes out of stock but keep an eye on him.. about 50bucks

    and I use this type of vga666 works really well ..

    More info-

    I've confirmed holding the buttons down works in general. I played GIJoe and got the auto-fire and just held the button to get it to continually fire. So it works in theory and works on my cabinet.

    Could it be specific in some way to MK2 - nvram, cfg or DIP switch settings?

    I'm also not insane, right? Holding block in MK2 should keep the character's block held?

    Just noticed I have checked the gz file hash while it was being downloaded (again) and checked the img file from a previous download.

    I re-downloaded it using wget and got the right checksum. Thanks!

    @nemo93 Some games I have to click on it in the Retropie menu to load, then adjust the configuration in the menu such as change the Kickstart Rom or Chipset, then click Reset to get it to load. I've tried the Save Configuration option and it adds and entry to the list that appears under Configuration but this doesn't seem to save things like the Chipset or Mhz etc. Is there something I manually need to edit for this? E.g. I got Super Skidmarks CD32 bin/cue files working but for some reason I have to change the Kickstart Rom to CD32 every time to load it up. Is there a quick way to save this kind of setting?

    I can see a User had this same problem in May: https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/25809/is-ogg-music-file-support-broken-in-lr-tyrquake/2

    I have put the music files in the correct place so far as I can tell.

    This is what the retropie guide says:

    id1/
    ├── pak0.pak ## shareware data
    ├── pak1.pak ## registered data
    ├── s0.sav
    ├── s1.sav
    ├── music/
    │ ├── track02.ogg
    │ ├── ...
    │ └── track11.ogg

    This is the structure that lr-tyrquake has set up, with two id1 directories.

    id1/
    ├── pak0.pak ## shareware data
    ├── pak1.pak ## registered data
    ├── id1/
    │ ├── config.cfg
    │ ├── save files
    │ └────music/

    That is where I have the music placed currently but I have tried it in the other directories also. The permissions are 0777, and the format is .ogg as the guide states.

    Any help appreciated.

    Edit: I've got this working now, I have .ogg files and .MP3 files in home/pi/RetroPie/roms/ports/quake/id1/sound/cdtracks and they are picked up in Darkplaces.

    I've also got lr-tyrquake working, the same files in home/pi/RetroPie/roms/ports/quake/id1/music

    I don't know if the original .ogg files I had were bad, or if having the .MP3s in there makes a difference, but it is working whatever the problem was.

    The Sharp x68000 is a great platform for some real nice hidden gems. I just wish the emulators were better done with a more professional setup like the wonderful, FS-UAE emulator for Amiga computers. Because too many Sharp x68000 games require multiple disc and that part is not handled as well in these emulators.
