    Far as I know, OMXolayer simply does not work together with game info displayed -- turn off one or both.

    The remaining videos, it's almost certainly the video format. Use one of the scripts linked above to convert your existing videos. See this post to setup Skyscraper to detect and convert wrong-format videos on initial download, for future scrapes.

    You could try to recover them with testdisk or photorec (don't be deceived by the latter's name, it can restore countless file types), but the best way to prevent data loss would be backups on a regular basis.

    Testdisk and photorec are both part of the same installation package testdisk. Its installation is explained in the first link above.

    @tsukisuperior can use

    sudo CC="whatever" ./retropie_setup.sh

    This may not work for all modules as some module code may override it.

    distcc can be used automatically by setting DISTCC_HOSTS="192.168.0.1/4,lzo" etc in the same way. It will get added to start of system PATH and added to MAKEFLAGS also.

    @iandaemon said in Zero Delay USB encoder Joystick issue:

    Depending on what country you live in it may be opposite with the hot/neutral wires. I'm in the U.S. and our wiring is opposite of China in terms of colors. (Here traditionally black is the hot wire; in China red is traditionally the hot wire.) This is for the buttons though.

    FYI
    The terms of hot and neutral only apply to AC. And yes different countries use different color codes. The encoders don’t use AC, but DC (the joystick switches can pass either or ).When it comes to DC, the standard everywhere, as far as I know, is red for positive and black for negative/dc ground. Just look at a car battery

    @mitu sorry to necrobump, but as far as I know, pokemmo is written in java so it might be possible. Got it working on the lxde desktop, not sure about how to run it without the xserver though. also it is available in the repos

    @efriim said in Nintendo Switch Online, Super NES controller.:

    I can get them to register/sync in Bluetooth but after I disconnect them I have to redo it in the Bluetooth menu to get them to sync again.

    Not sure what you mean by 'disconnect them'. I usually just shutdown RetroPie / Emulation Station and the controllers go to sleep on their own.

    I use Switch Pro controllers and mine will stay synced to my RetroPie install as long as I don't plug them into the Switch to charge them. Charging through the Switch will automatically re-pair the controller to the Switch and it won't talk to anything else without a manual re-pairing.

    The controller/player number lights on the controller constantly array as if it is still syncing, or as if it can't assign the player number in the controller.

    I don't have a solution but my Pro controllers do the same thing so it is somewhat normal for this style controller. I think you are right that the Switch must send information back to the controller to tell it which player number it is assigned and nothing in the RetroPie package will do that at this point.

    This project was for Wii controllers but maybe it holds the answer and can be adapted.

    @w1ck3rm4n sure, you will have a default installation without any (copyrighted) games.
    Other way: ask the seller of your device to fix the problems or get a refund.
    He sold you old sh** that doesnt even work (PSX).

    @w1ck3rm4n
    There is a naming scheme that the emulator goes by, if you search "retropie psx bios wiki".
    You can have all the bios, but the emulator will automatically select from its naming scheme list, the one considered most compatible closest to the top of the list, out of what it can find in the bios folder.

    Aha! I see it was failing to find the BIOS - I didn't consider that because literally every other game has worked perfectly. dc_boot.bin and dc_flash.bin were both in there, but they were the wrong files. Have now replaced them and everything's peachy. Cheers for the tip :)

    @rkoster
    I'd like to thank you for your effort in producing this guide and tool. I successfully managed to configure RetroPIe/Emulation/RetroArch/PR-UAE to run the converted LHA files. However, I have noticed a bizarre bug/issue and found a workaround for it which I will detail below:

    I have two laptops of similar specification. This is the process I followed:

    Clean install of Kubuntu Install RetroPie, basic installation and PR-UAE from optional packagaes Copy kickstart bios roms to RetroPie/BIOS folder Copy LHA files to /RetroPie/roms/amiga folder Followed the above guide and used the script to convert LHA files Ran a few games to test

    This process worked perfectly on one laptop, so I decided to try on another, however, when I tried to run some games from retropie/emulationstation, the games would not load ( I tried the same games that I played on the previous laptop), and I was taken back to the amiga games list in emulation station.
    I looked in the /dev/shm/runcommand.log but did not see anything different to the logs on the first laptop.

    I thought that maybe the PR-UAE installation/configuration was the issue so decided to test with an ADF file and the game loaded confirming that PR-UAE worked.
    Out of curiosity I tried another converted LHA and to my surprise it loaded successfully.
    I tried another converted LHA file but it didn't work.
    I loaded the same ADF again successfully, then tried the converted LHA from the previous step and it loaded.

    So for some reason on this laptop, in order to successfully load a converted LHA, I must first load an ADF - this is tedious for 60+ games, but once the LHA has loaded once, it will load again without having to run an ADF first.

    Anyway, this was my experience. I have no idea why this happened, but I thought I would share just in case other people would benefit from it.

    Thanks again for creating this guide and tool!

    @sleve_mcdichael yep! I missed out that it actually is printed out on the board and it booted up when I powered on the wrong input i.e. power in on the USB-port. But there's no USB I/O on the power inlet port. Low-level-mistake, caused me some googling hahaha

    @stoo said in "Dosbox" mount c /home/pi/RetroPie/roms/pc doesn't exist:

    sudo mount -t cifs -o uid=pi,guest,nounix,noserverino //192.168.0.250/storage/RetroPie /home/pi/RetroPie

    I am not sure why (maybe the vers=1.0) but using your recommended mount worked perfectly. I appreciate all the assistance to get this sorted. I was definitely stumped on this one. Mark this as solved.

    @busywait said in Missing shared library libstdc++.so.6 for redream from 64-bit installer:

    /opt/retropie/emulators/redream/redream.elf

    That's an error in the RetroPie's package - it installs the 32bit (armhf) version of redream. Since there is no 64bit ARM version, it should probably just say that the package is unavailable. We'll fix this.
