    @zerojay

    i did look around the script and i do see that the drivers(i guess for better terms) is included and installed. so on your part it looks good.

    so when i go in to the options to change the music playback only the different midi players show up.

    unless the music files are needed to be in a different folder, but i dont see why when the lr-prboom did not.

    very puzzled

    @kmetz7547 Could you post some example game entries from your gamelist.xml before and after scraping?

    Which system are you scraping for?

    The standard naming scheme for snaps is [romname]-image.jpg, [romname] being the filename of the rom without its extention. E.g., somerom.zip's snap would be named somerom-image.jpg in the "images" folder.

    To my knowledge, Selph's scraper doesn't scrape artwork that's already there, so if your artwork is properly named and you delete/rename your gamelist.xml, only the metadata should be scraped again.

    edit: Videos are named [romname]-video.mp4 (or whatever extension the video file has).

    fair enough. please edit the wiki if you can find a nice way of including that information.

    for me those customized .dats probably shouldn't be used by beginners at all. the beginner approach should always be to put the right romset in the right folder and not mess about with dats or clrmamepro at all :)

    Since no one chimed in I blew away my setup and started over moving step by step to identify where the audio broke.

    The power button configuration was the culprit. The script worked for the power button perfectly powering on and off the Pi but killed audio from the Mifiberry AMP 2. Upon further researching the reason behind the issue was that the Mifiberry AMP 2 uses several GPIO pins to communicate between itself and the Pi3. Of course one of which is the same pin the power button configuration script uses.

    I have since tried to modify the script to use a different GPIO pin (GPIO 5, pin 19). The script works to power off the Pi but not on. Further research told me that the script doesn't power on just off and that I can solder in a header or use pins 5/6 (GPIO3/GND) to power on the Pi. Given the Mifiberry, it looks like my only option is to use the header which is doable but I'd prefer to have only one power button that performs both power on and off functions.

    Is there a way I can meet my goal via script, resistors, etc given what I have to work with, a long button press for off maybe? I thought about wiring the button to both the reset header pins as well as off function pins (19/20) but don't believe the Pi will know what to do with that input.

    Any ideas? Thanks

    Here is the link to script I ran from. Here.

    Here is the info from Mifiberry.

    @buzz I've just checked and Scraper got installed successfully.

    Deleting /opt/retropie/supplementary/golang/ and running sudo ./retropie_packages.sh scraper was the solution.

    Thank you so much

    I took the advice from @jonnykesh and it totally worked, the problem was indeed the custom es_systems.cfg that was created when I ran a script for installing it, thanks for the support

    @leandrosdias You should also look into @pjft 's advice, maybe it's just the theme that's broken because of the resolution or aspect ratio of the screen.

    Yes it is still available, just update Kodi first in RetroPie-Setup before downgrading.

    @shayne66 OK so I have no experience with that chipset. However, a quick Google around revealed that Foxconn refuses to play nicely with Linux back when this board was in use. Foxconn is a large OEM motherboard manufacturer, but according to a thread on the Ubuntu Forums, they refuse to support Linux. There is a bug in one of their DSDT tables for their BIOS that's causing installation and lock up issues. Now this was years ago but since you have an old board, if it's BIOS is original then maybe you are experiencing the hell that many did years ago. If you have played a ROM and now you cannot, then it probably points to an installation problem. I have never heard of a rom working and then not working unless configs and/or the emulator was changed via the runcommand.

    I've had some success...

    So, for anyone else having similar issues, i added the line:

    input_player1_joypad_index = 1

    to the psx-specific retroarch.cfg. Knowing it was "1" was a bit of luck. My next challenge is to correctly map X and O :-)

    Hope this helps someone.

    @kaz69 No, only one OS boots at a time. Nothing additional is running in the background from the other installations. Not sure if PINN asks or allows you to set the partition sizes but obviously it would be handy to have larger partitions for those OSes that need it.

    ?

    @tomaz I ran the ES update from binary last night. I didn't have a ton of time to mess with it, but I scrolled through several system gamelists and it did not crash.

    There was a delay where everything froze for a 3 or 4 seconds and I thought it was going to crash, but then it started moving along again. It could have been something loading in the background or a gamelist.xml being scanned perhaps?

    I'll spend more time with it this weekend. Thank you everyone for all your work and help. I was dreading that I might have to start over again.

    @jonnykesh said in Error formatting 64Gb USB:

    @landyvlad Windows is a pain the the ass. Use a third party tool like this https://www.sdcard.org/downloads/pls/index.html or this https://www.easeus.com/partition-master/best-fat32-format-tool.html

    The former didn't give me any options and formatted the usb stick (which it said was an sd card) as ex-FAT rather than FAT32.

    The second easeus worked fine and quickly. Cheers
