unplug your controllers. Reboot your pi, when it comes back up it should have a message about not detecting any controllers. Plug your controller in and it should say something like press and hold any button to map controller. This should allow you to remap it properly.

@tyler513 The commands and steps to follow are on the page you mentioned, make sure you're typing the download command correctly. Is your internet working ?

@FreddyPitts are you using lr-prboom or zdoom?

only way to influez is to hold ps button when conecting pad usb, but all tries did not detect any gamepad.

We don't support 3rd pary/prebuilt images.

Have you - by any chance - used the Save config on Exit in a SNES game ? This would mess up the RetroArch configuration for that system.

@mitu I almost would rule out any addons anyway, since it also happens to me in Chromium without any addons.

It certainly is strange that it happens to me frequently with two different browsers. I can't imagine such an effect having anything to do with my OS or router.

@mitu Thank you for your help looking into this! I have no idea how to add compilation flags and had hoped to avoid needing to use a fresh image of 4.4 (I know its not that big a chore or anything) but if that's the only option I'll just leave lr-vice off the pi for now. @TomoS Emulationstation must be launched from the terminal, it's not going to work from an existing X.org/Desktop session. You'll also have to turn off/stop your login manager/display manager if you have one started.

@pie4mom We don't offer support for 3rd party images. Please start with the image from retropie.org.uk/download.

@pma7779 The configs folder is accessible through \\retropie\configs, just like the roms file share

@dankcushions I'm not using any shaders on any of the emulators. And what about the 117Hz instead of 120Hz, what's the deal with that?

@mitu I had the same issue! I also noticed somehow all the files inside the /opt/retropie/emulators/retroarch directory was missing, so I forced the updated in the core packages configuration menu inside the Retropie Setup screen. (Manage packages -> core -> retroarch -> Update from binary)

I tried scraping for the ROMs you mentioned and I had no problems. For reference, here are the ROM names and their MD5 checksum:

@Gaprofitt Is RetroArch configured with alsa or alsathread as audio driver ? Enable verbose logging with the Runcommand options menu and check the /dev/shm/runcommand.log file to see what/where does RetroArch errors out.

@mitu solved my problem. In RA there's an option for the directory in which the replays are stored/saved. During game play (while recording), however, the audio and graphics go to hell and back. During replay it's fine, but does anyone have a way to prevent the distortion while recording?

Download and burn the SD image hosted on this site, and not only is it likely to work, but we will actually be able to support it!
