Yes Configuration / tools is there, but I don't see the reset option.

Closest I can find in there is "configedit"

@ScoobyAA Slightly late reply. I have only just come back to this project. I finally have TwisterOS running well and Retropie does work. However, even using controller keymapping software I cannot use those controllers. This issue is clearly much deeper than just retropie because no software recognises the left and right arrow keys, unfortunately. I really appreciate all of the help from the forum though. Thanks!

@mitu I have the exact same issue (I made a post about it [here(https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/26598/problem-with-controller-mapping-being-different-in-games-and-menu)). If you’re able to help: I use a RPi 3 b+ with a pre made SD image (v. 4.6) from the official Retropie website. I am using a wireless Arrogant Bastard controller with dongle.

@Sircoynie said in Razer Atrox Arcade Stick Help:

I have seen a thread about this on here gut it gives no explanation on how it was solved and is very old.

I think the solution was to mod the stick with an IPAC usb encoder.

So i bought some electronic switches and a custom usb keyboard encoder (ipac2), installed it in my atrox and ended up with a fully working xbox one and raspberry pi machine.

Can you try to test the controller with jstest, from the command line and see if the inputs are registered ? Exit EmulationStation and run from the terminal

      jstest /dev/input/js0

You can exit the test by pressing Ctrl+C.

I will give that a try and get back to you thanks.

Was going to post an exact same discussion.

I have an X-Box controller, which is fine for some games but perhaps not for the few C64/Speccy games that I play, plus I have a couple of MAME titles that require a litte button bashing, Hypersports etc.

Is there a genral controller that covers all these bases??

Did you install any additional drivers (xboxdrv maybe) ? For the S models, you should install the xpadneo driver from https://github.com/atar-axis/xpadneo, it should work better with the newer Xbox controller models.

The 8bitdo SN30 Pro+ is a great choice for RetroPie, and it works both wired and wireless.

came across this thread on google searching for a solution to the same problem.
This thread's answer didn't work for me, unfortunately,
but updating the bluetooth driver did work for me.

      sudo apt install pi-bluetooth

good luck to anyone else passing by with DS4 connectivity issues!

@neurocrash said in Can't enter RGUI menu anywhere:

The result is that the hotkey that works for me is Hotkey-Y, which is the same as the Hotkey-North button. When using this combination, all of the devices can open the RGUI menu.

The North button is the X button, not the Y (yes, the XBox controller is backwards).

@grant2258 said in Dragonrise joystick to MAME Emulator:

@Shazam make sure all your controllers are wired the same as far as buttons go this is a common mistake that some people do.

Let me explain whats going on here say you has an xbox controller in and set it up then plugged another in it would use the same mapping as you set as the first one because it saves the setup for that controller type(retroarch).

The same thing happens with the dragon rise its regarded as one controller type you need to wire them up the same so they all match and you only need to set one up for them all to work. I can guide you guys on mame2003 or 2003-plus to get started if that would help.

Hi Grant - I would love some help please! see my post here.... https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/26386/dragonrise-usb-issues

@russs15 Thats the exact adaptor I got that never worked with retro pie properly for me. It might be an issue with a driver that changed higher up the chain that's not related to RetroPie itself but raspian, or even in the core linux kernel.

It's basically just: plug it all in and then set up your controls in emulationstation. If you're nervous about it, there are lots of tutorials on Youtube to familiarize and educate yourself. Make sure your encoder comes with a Sanwa connection cable, then it shouldn't be too hard.
