      Also, https://github.com/retropie/retropie-setup/wiki/playstation-1
      You missed searching the official guides. Do that next time instead of random youtubers that will get stuff wrong or leave stuff out. Though, something that's missing in the wiki.. "scph7502.bin" (not in caps either) works just fine too.

      This is not the way to ask for things, something is not shit just because you don't know how to make it work. For sure 13 years old or less.

      You have insulted the work of a lot of people just because you doesn't know how to make it work.

      Then if you doesn't know how to drive a Lamborghini I suppose that car it's a shit too?

      @Allanbuzzy I'm not sure the Raspberry Pi will allow you to raid USB devices together.

      There are these little gadgets that might come in handy.

      @AlexMurphy

      Okay, I tried reading through the wiki, and I couldn't figure out what they were trying to describe. I ended up getting the button numbers of the n64 usb controller, which is labeled as 'Dragonfire xxx' on screen and in console.

      I went in and modified InputAutoCfg.ini and it looks like this now:

      http://pasteat.me/view/36ecac29

      (I could probably remove all the controllers except the dragonfire one, but this file is written by ES so it would probably add them back in once I configured a new input.

      I also pasted in my retroarch.cfg file in there. I couldn't find out in that file to explicitly map my buttons to the individual buttons for n64, and had no idea what the property name needed to be to assign the value. With that, I also don't know how to tell the retroarch.cfg file to only use those mappings on the Dragonfire (n64) controller.

      In what I have now, the hot keys at least work (Start + Z) to exit the emulator, but the rest of the buttons are not mapped correctly.

      I set the default emulator for n64 to lr-mupen64.

      Could you offer me some advise, please?

      @kaixman Bubble Hero 2 appears to be a Windows clone of the arcade game, Bubble Bobble. You won't have any luck running Windows games on the Pi, at least not without a significant amount of work.

      I would suggest playing the original arcade game or the NES port. Here is a video of NES gameplay to check whether it's what you're looking for:

      The simplest option would be to drop the Bubble Bobble NES rom into the NES roms folder, restart EmulationStation and you're ready to play.

      Getting the arcade version requires more work regarding getting the correct romset for the emulator. The most straightforward solution is to find the 0.78 non-merged MAME romset and use the lr-mame2003 emulator. Place the rom bublbobl.zip in the arcade or mame-libretro rom folder. Restart EmulationStation and you're ready to play.

      For further information on MAME, the following are recommended reading:

      https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/7247/guide-arcade-games-and-how-to-play-them-a-non-technical-mame-fba-tutorial

      https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Arcade/

      If you're happy with Bubble Bobble, it's worth checking out Bubble Bobble II (a.k.a Bubble Symphony) playable on arcade emulator, AdvanceMAME 0.94, and Rainbow Islands: The Story of Bubble Bobble 2, playable on arcade (lr-mame2003) or NES .

      When it comes to software you never really own it like you do a car or refrigerator. You only own a license to use the software. It has always been that way and software publishers are merely leveraging modern technology to enforce that idea now.

      They have always fought against the idea of trading games or letting friends borrow them but the technology and infrastructure just wasn't there in the 1980s and 90s. I'm sure if they could have foreseen the internet and ROMs they would have built in self destruct mechanisms into every cartridge ever made. From their point of view, your rant is equivalent to: I miss the days before everybody locked their doors, when I could just go into anybody's house and take whatever I want. We could argue about whether that view is correct or not, but it is why DRM exists in modern games.

      @loubatron03 Most likely you have the wrong type of roms (without headers). This is mentioned on the page.

      unpack the rom and do file /path/to/rom from commandline and it will tell you what sort of file it is. If it says data file it's the wrong type. If it recognises it as a nes rom, it's correct.

      @BuZz

      I'm curious as to your thoughts on this idea. The existing version of dosbox is very good. It has speed and compatibility with most every dos based game. At the experimental end of the dosbox spectrum for PC, people created branches like hal9000 or daum or dosbox-x to do opengl, advanced hardware emulation and the ability to create some pretty gnarly situations (like early 2000's windows game support). The issue with the experimental builds is that while they can do incredible things with newer games, their compatibility with old games is sometimes a little suspect.

      What if you treat the experimental versions of dosbox like experimental packages and housed them like separate emulators? Most of them have source code packages that can be compiled for pi. I'm just curious to your thoughts on this as an eventual direction you may decide to go in.

      @BuZz Thanks for all the info.

      I am pretty new to Linux but I think I should be okay with the VPN portion of it by following a guide.

      As for enabling VPN on boot for RetroPie, that should be as simple correct? Just SSH into the Pi and edit the settings there?

      Sorry for the dumb questions!

      That is funny. I guess he either meant that it doesn't work with RetroPie, or meant to list it under Pros. The review might have actually been written by a forum user named @PECONAUT. I don't know if he ever got his issue with the controller sorted out, but the "Liquid Metal" stuck out in my memory. It's a sharp looking controller and a good deal. It also might still be possible to get it working. You just never know with a 3rd party controller.

      Updating Retropie returns sounds to TVs via HDMI that never use to work.

      you might notice sound is then lagging and Retropie crashing. if this occurs uninstall pulse on Raspian.
